I just started playing HS. It feels identical to 2pcg, except, 2pcg now feels like a combination of HS with the most identifiable things from OG VS. Outside of the things that make 2pcg feel like VS, it is for all intent and purpose, hearthstone with superheroes. Just my opinion.
Well, both VS 2PCG and HS are based on WoW TCG. That's why it feels like a HS with superheroes.

I don't know about what you mean with the most identifiable things from OVS though. There's nothing in this new game that reminds me of the OVS game but the flight and range mechanics. Other stuff is completelly superficial and feels like a last minute splash than anything else.
Front and back row. Resource laying of any card. Flight and range. Team attacks. Draw 2 per turn.

All things that first entered my tcg life from OG vs.

I guess everyone is on Facebook.

I read that the new set was delayed but is finally coming out and will include foils.

Anyone see the OP cards yet?

Knew people at GAMA and they had new set and kits for sale there. Apparently kits are being distributed. Haven't seen any in hands from stores yet though. Within the week a strong guess?

The FB group def makes it easier but i do miss the forum action. None picked up stream though.

Yes, I find it interesting none of the forums really have any action.

VS Headquarters was active for a while but has dropped off, and the site isn't even working.

No posts on VSRealms either.

Poor Vs.

I'm still alive but not too sure how Vs is doing.

How many sets did they release after the first 2PCG one?

Is stubarnes around? How about any of the other VS people?

This is the result of butchering the game, not maintaining compatibility, and burning an existing player bases good will and collections. I hope upper deck finally dies a death and some competent company picks up the IP and license. Atlanta had a decent VS. scene with regular play, and nobody wants to play Psuedo-VS.

For the 2PCG they've released two more Marvel sets (Defenders and A-Force) and one with Aliens. I believe there's still supposed to be some OP stuff and allegedly another Marvel set coming out in 2017? From what I heard I don't think the game was doing the numbers they wanted it to do and they're trying to evaluate how to move forward, but that's all hearsay. I've never so much as touched a 2pcg card.

f**k UDE.

We still have the same old crew in MD, but pretty much everyone has moved on to other things after the 2pcg bullshit pulling the rug out on us.

We have some folks here in New England, US around RI/MA that get together. Roughly 5-6 folks that play old school vs. Always fun to play Galactus as well, we normally do cards prior Evolution for that.

2PCG has not been a sales powerhouse but they also have a low overhead since this time around they aren't dumping funding into event prizes to draw players.

Its more locals based but they had a licensing issue with Marvel and had to cancel the last set planned. So they missed a release. The game is very shallow compared to old VS but it fills the void if you want a cheap game to buy into.

Biggest issue atm is the small card pool. They release very small sets and it took them the core set and 3 more sets to get over the amount of cards original VS launched with in Origins.

Pros:
Simple mechanics, easy to teach
Similiar to old VS mechanics
Cheap to own every card

Cons:
Small card pool
Simple mechanics, very shallow
Lack of depth
Noticable mechanics the game needs back. Loyalty, etc.
