Hi everyone its been a day since I got back from Super Saturday and I am pleased with my performance in the tournament. In the modern age tourney I went 4-2 getting eliminated in the top 8, I was a little discouraged before heading into silver. When I picked my deck for Silver Age I decided to go with my old Favorite: Legion of the Skrull. All I can say is that the deck list says it all:

Legion of the Skrull (doing my best with out the Deck in front of me, will edit later)

Characters
x3 Triad, Luornu Durgo
x2 Lockjaw, Inhumans Best Friend
x2 Jazmin Cullen<> Kid Quantum, Hero of Xanthu
x4 Franklin Richards, Creator of the Counter-Earth
x3 Sensor, Jeka Wynzorr
x4 Warskrull, Skrull Infiltraitor
x4 Captain America, Skrull Imposter
x2 Wolverine, Skrullnucklehead
x1 XS, Jenni Ognats
x4 Ethan Edwards, Visitor From Another World
x1 Saturn Girl, Imra Ardeen
x3 Paibok, The Power Skrull
x1 Super Skrull, World Champion
x1 Karnak, The Shatterer
x1 Super Skrull, Kl'rt

Plot Twist
x4 Act of Defiance
x2 Extended Family
x2 Underground Movement
x4 Blinding Rage
x1 We are Legion
x2 Terror Incognito
x4 New Recruits

Locations
x2 The Great Refuge
x1 Soul World
x2 Tarnax IV

-------------------------------

Round 1-JLA Deck

This was an easy win I hit the main parts of my curve and he missed his 3-drop and I took the game on turn 5 with very little trouble.

1-0

Round 2-Gotham Knights / Team Superman

The begging of this game seemed like nothing could go wrong he missed his first few turns I swarmed out, but missed Captain America until 5. As soon as he hit his LSOK on turn 4, and underdropped Batman and Huntress on 5 and started replacing my Team-ups, he pretty much evened out and what seemed like what would be a quick win turned out to go longer than expected. Turn 7 he had a visible Dinah Laurel Lance, Lady Shiva, and Superman LSOK, and a hidden Huntress and Batman. My side had a visible Super Skrull, World Champion and hidden Franklin Richards, Saturn Girl, Triad, Captain America, Lockjaw, and Jazmin Cullen. The endurance was me around 20 and him at 10. I team attacked to stun his Superman and Lady Shiva, he then attacked with Dinah Lurel Lance into my Super Skrull, I activated Tarnax IV in response to give Super Skrull +9 ATK for the stun back he then attacked with Batman and Huntress, and finally during the recovery phase I played Terror Incognito hitting him for 5 and putting him below 0 to activate the second effect if an auto-win for me. This was a tough game I was lucky to pull this one out.

2-0

Round 3-MKKO

I really dreaded this match-up. I started out good, but as soon as he hit my hidden area and KO'd the important parts of my board I couldn't recover and I had my first loss.

2-1

Round 4-Gotham Knights / Alpha Flight

This was a fun round against Captain Cuba. He was playing a Mash-up of GK and Alpha flight turns go normal until 4 when I had a full hidden board. i was sitting on 46 endurance and hit me with Barbra Gordon and Talisman for 4 bringing me to 42 and proceeds to go for the win with pumping Jon Walker to 39 ATK leaving me at 3 and with some smart attacks on turn 5 gave me the exact 0 win. Overall this was my favorite game of the silver age tournament.

So a 3-1 record and good tiebreakers gave me a 1st place finish and since I already won the mat from top 8ing in Modern it was passed to second place and I got some cool art work of spiderman, wolverine and the avengers plus 12 packs. Overall, it was a fun experience and I wanna thank everyone that put this together hope to see more events like this.

Rock n' Roll, Top 8 and 1rst in Silver- gotta love a weekend like that, what did you run in modern?

And winning with legion aught to get you some special noprize. Do you remember way back when the earth blew up wow that was cool/powerful/unexpected...Legion is one of my old loves of comics, I always wanted them to come back in time and make me a member too.
