Ok so before the Modern Age tournament started I was torn on what deck to run. It was between Family of Four and The Warbound. Family of Four had given me some good matches and was a very strong deck but ran very bad against X-Force and Exiles. So, I decided to go with something that can deal the damage out as fast as the Exiles, The Warbound, and here is the deck list. Jolly Green Giant (Warbound): Modern Top 8 4x Elloe Kaifi, Slave of the Empire 4x Miek, The Unhived 4x Rick Jones, Monster's Best Friend 4x Archangel, Champion 2x Hiroim, The Shamed 4x Hulk, Green Scar 1x Brood, Brood Creature 2 of 6 4x Hulk, Gladiator 2x Caiera, The Oldstrong 2x Hulk, The Green King 1x Hercules, Secret Avenger 1x Hulk, Sakaar'Son 1x Hulk, Worldbreaker 4x Hulk Smash 4x Righteous Anger 4x Trouble With Dinosaurs 3x Mobilize 3x Hulk Red 3x Warbound to the End 2x Bloodsport 3x The Great Arena --------------------------------------- Round 1 - X-Factor This was a annoying match-up for me Iceman kept me tapped but was able to over come for a turn 6 win when he realized he couldn't win after we went all out on turn 4 in a power-up war. Overall a good match. 1-0 Round 2 - Exiles (not the burn deck) This was not a tough match-up because of the fact that he had missed alot of stuff but was able to keep board presence but it looked as if nothing was going for him, took him down on 5 or 6. 2-0 Round 3 - X-Factor This was an amazing game because; 1. It was against one of my friends from my store and 2. This game went to turn 11. He stalled the hell out of me with Iceman tapping me down but on 10 time was called and we were both tied at (-6) then on 11 when it was my attacks I had just enough damage to take the lead and the win. 3-0 Round 4 - Exiles (the burn deck) This was a straight forward game for my opponent, he hit everything he needed and burned the hell out of me and attacked for the win, like I said and straight forward game for him, and a loss for me. 3-1 Round 5 - Raidoactive Man.dec This match was another straight forward match for opponent. He hit Raidoactive Man and the only way to keep him down was with The Great Arena. But missing 6 drop Hulk and no Archangels meant now win for me. 3-2 Round 6 - Weapon X This match went in my favor on turn 6 I had 6 drop Hulk with Miek removed and basically tapped his 5 and then attacked with 6-drop Hulk with Hulk Smash in Sabertooth for the win. 4-2 So with a 4-2 record it got me into Top 8 where I didn't have as much luck as I had in the other rounds Top 8 - X-Men (Summers Legend) This match I was just burned to death and then basically was just attacked with all the Summers cards. A little disapointed. Eliminated --------------------------------------- Overall, it was a fun experience and it was awesome meeting some of the people that post here. Again, Hope stuff like this can happen again in the future, it was an awesome experience. -ChaosRob489 |

I ran Hulk in SoCal just because he can face exiles for the win on 4 with enough pumps 3-3, oh and because my early day sealed deck netted me the one Hulk Smash I needed to bring me to 4. |
