All,

I wanted to mention a few things concerning any new content, and how it would/would not be supported by my website.

Some of you may know that I said I was closing shop. This is partially true, as I found someone who wanted to step up and take control of the site. After talking with him, and given his experience with this type of material (he currently runs most of the online tools for Yu-Gi-Oh!, including RONIN and NetRep.net), he expressed interest in adding fan-based materials to the website, as long as it was done in a similar fashion to the UDE released materials.

What this means? There would have to be some sort of "blessed" release schedule (can't have 40 different sets coming flying out of the ether, and then nothing for months). Someone would have to be responsible ("player council", etc) for presenting this information as "official", and it would need to be delivered in a parsable, digital format (XML or some sort of structured format would be preferred), as well as all images (in at least 200x285 JPEG format).

I know many are still debating the legality of fan material, and we won't take ownership, but we would be happy to help deliver materials to users in any way we can. Feel free to email me at michael.geier at gmail.com, with any information or questions.

Thanks guys!
Michael, ccgdb.com

That man is on some sort of mission, and he wants to share the fruits of his labour. Pretty awesome.

Somebody needs to do something because we're not going to get anywhere without a little organization. If we are going to have some kind of council it needs to be decided upon soon and in the most democratic way possible. There should be clear and well defined roles that people will play in it so the community knows who they are voting for and why.
