I'm going to be posting my 100 deck ideas for the community at large to help me refine.

Rules:

1) Only 30 cards allowed per deck
2) Only 2 of any card allowed per deck
3) The decks are limited to 2 teams (and unaffiliated characters)
4) All non-character cards need to refer to the chosen teams (or no teams at all)
5) On-team tutors and pumps and tutors should be used over generic ones (i.e. Legionaires should use New Recruits, not Mobilize)
6) Marvel and DC Universes should be kept seperate when constructing the decks
7) These are ‘Kitchen Table’ decks, not ‘Pro Circuit’ Decks. They can be competitive, but the goal is fun!

This deck fills your opponent's hands and simultaneously prevents them from using the cards!

2 Captain Boomerang, George Harkness
2 IQ, Ira Quimby
2 Lex Luthor, Nefarious Philanthropist
2 Lex Luthor, Megalomaniac
2 The Joker, Headline Stealer
1 Felix Faust, Soulless Mystic
2 Circe, Evil Enchantress
2 Scarecrow, Psycho Psychologist
1 Lex Luthor, Sinister Scientist

2 Criminal Mastermind
2 Secret Files
2 All Too Easy
2 Power Siphon
2 Home Surgery
2 Death Trap
2 Evil Genius

I played against a handfill deck once, but never with one. Is this a satisfactory build? I know it's popular to team-up with Doom, but he's Marvel, so I'd like to avoid that. I left out the Joker at 6 because without Doom, this deck needs the Joker on 4.

Edit:
-1 Dr. Destiny, John Dee
-1 The Joker, Permanent Vacation
-1 Abra Kadabra, Magical Rogue
+1 Lex Luthor, Megalomaniac
+1 The Joker, Killer Smile
+1 Felix Faust, Soulless Mystic

Shamilton/Trooper/Gambit Edit:
-1 The Joker, Killer Smile
-1 Laughing Gas
+1 Scarecrow, Psycho Psychologist
+1 Evil Genius

I play with a hand fill deck that has joker @ 4 and at seven. It is priceless, especially if I can use it against Runaways. muhahahaha!!!

Unfortunately Runaways are broken in a 30 card format since they could deck you like turn 3 every game, but I still included the Joker at four and seven anyway!

I think your curve goes a little too far, Scott. I think you could free up a lot of slots for... something.. who knows what? More consistency? More recovery effects? More def pumps? I'd have a lot of suggestions but I'm trying to think of some from the DC end of things.

But you don't need 2 7 drops and 2 6 drops. Scarecrow 5 is best boosted on 6, and Circe on 6 is as good as any of the 6s in IG. I run 1-of Permanent Vacation in my handfill deck, but I doubt it's even needed. I would cut at least the 7-drop Luthor, and probably also Dr. Destiny and Abra Kadabra, and add a 2nd Scarecrow 5, and maybe a 4th Lex Luthor on 3.

To be honest the 7-drop Joker is probably useless too, because you are going to deck your opponents long before then. Maybe it's mean to say "cut these cards" without having another suggestion, but I'll get back to you :D. I run cards like Acrobatic Dodge in my build, but I'm trying to stick to your rules this time.

In summation:
-1 Dr Destiny
-1 Lex Luthor 7
-1 Joker 7
-1 Abra Kadabra

+1 Scarecrow, Psycho Psychiatrist
+1 Lex Luthor, Megalomaniac
+2 Dirty Tricks? Maybe there's something better.

Bkwrds, what do you think of the build now? I pulled the seven drop Joker for the six drop one. Now there's only one seven drop in the deck.

My goal for this deck is for it to be a Lex/Joker centric thing, but I am willing to change it, that's just the goal.

Do you think this is a good variant?

There's also the option of running High Evolutionary on 2 for draw power.

Honestly in this deck, Scarecrow, Psycho Psychologist is your six drop. Esp. with the hand flood theme. Luthors nefarious philantripist is you MVP as well. Protect him at all costs. He is better than the 4 drop joker IMHO.

It is for this reason that I suggest we cut Laughing Gas and add another copy of Evil Genius. Make this deck more about Lex and less about the Joker. Joker should be the main character in an Insanity build or Inmates build.

Scarecrow should have 2 spots at six and not have to share a spot with Joker (we all know he is a 6 drop so lets not pretend like he is a 5 drop). If we do see another Joker in the deck he should be on turn 7 and it should be Permanent Vacation. He has the same stats as Lex but his ability + Circe and Scarecrow are going to seal the deal.

I agree with shadowtrooper on this one, this deck should be built around lex he is the staple to the hand punisher.

Don't kill Joker. As I said He is a great 7 drop and I don't think there is a better drop than him on 4. I just think that there should be no Legendary content for him in this deck.

The joker on four is here to stay, but if I had to choose between permanent vacation or sinister scientist on seven, I'd go with Luthor. Especially in a deck that runs evil genius.
