I'm going to be posting my 100 deck ideas for the community at large to help me refine.

Rules:

1) Only 30 cards allowed per deck
2) Only 2 of any card allowed per deck
3) The decks are limited to 2 teams (and unaffiliated characters)
4) All non-character cards need to refer to the chosen teams (or no teams at all)
5) On-team tutors and pumps and tutors should be used over generic ones (i.e. Legionaires should use New Recruits, not Mobilize)
6) Marvel and DC Universes should be kept seperate when constructing the decks
7) These are ‘Kitchen Table’ decks, not ‘Pro Circuit’ Decks. They can be competitive, but the goal is fun!

A JLA/JLI deck that abuses the ally effect.

2 Sue Dibny, Charismatic Coordinator
2 Ted Kord <> Blue Beetle, Heir of the Scarab
1 Booster Gold, Michael Jon Carter
1 Connor Hawke <> Green Arrow, Son of the Archer
2 Shayera Thal <> Hawkwoman, Thanagarian Enforcer
2 Katar Hol <> Hawkman, Thanagarian Enforcer
1 John Henry Irons <> Steel, Steel-Drivin' Man
1 Fire, Beatriz DaCosta

2 BWA HA HA HA HA!
2 Magnificent Seven
2 World's Greatest Heroes
2 Hero's Welcome
2 Trial By Fire

2 Kooey Kooey Kooey
1 Hall of Justice
1 JLI Embassy

2 Light Armor
2 Nth Metal

Edit:
-1 The Watchtower
-1 Satellite HQ
-1 Batman, Justice's Shadow
-1 Booster Gold, Michael Jon Carter
-1 Connor Hawke <> Green Arrow, Son of the Archer
+1 Fire, Beatriz DaCosta
+2 Hero's Welcome
+2 Trial By Fire

Mulligan for a 1 drop. Both of them search out your 2 drop. Make sure to play your Light Armors as attack pumps before turn five so that John Henry can get them back for the KO'd pile.

The only piece I see missing is the finisher, which in my Good Guys deck was always Fire. The burn she provided on a last turn could be insane, with Steel blowing up equipment if necessary. I'd probably take out at least one Sue for Fire, because Ted was always my mulligan condition.

My main 2nd drop was always Booster, so I'd consider dropping at least one Connor.

Brickwalling with Katar was always important at some point in the game too for me, thus I might sneak another Katar in, either the one from DCL or DCR.

As much as the 2-card discard may hurt, I think Hero's Welcome has a place in this deck if we're not using Mobilize or Mightiest Heroes, 'cause it needs a bit of search besides the Watchtower. Or maybe it just needs a second Watchtower. I dunno. :)

And if it's not too out-of-theme, Slaughter Swamp makes this deck sing.

So my suggestions would be

-2 Sue Dibny
-1 JLI Embassy
-1 Connor
-1 Light Armor

+2 Fire
+1 Katar Hol (4 drop from DCR)
+1 Slaughter Swamp
+1 Hero's Welcome

That's just off the top of my head, though. I'm usually wrong about most things.

Since both one drops search for two drops, how about we drop the drop the two drop count down to two characters (1 Booster, 1 Connor)? That would open up two slots for Hero's Welcome.

We could also take out the five drop Batman for Fire, which would make the deck look a lot more like the original.

Check out the changes. The deck now looks a lot like David Leader's 2006 PC Indy build.

I'd forgotten all about Trial By Fire. Great addition for the deck.

I'd still consider dropping a Light Armor for a Slaughter Swamp (unless it's too out of theme).

This is fun!

My only concern with Slaughter Swamp is that it adds a 'third' team to the deck. Has anyone tried the deck as posted yet. It'd be interesting to see how this one plays. If it falls flat on its face without Slaughter Swamp, we'll add it, but if it's still pretty powerful without it, I think we should leave the list as is.

Christo, would you be willing to test this variation? I moved and have yet to have my internet hooked up, so unfortunately, I can't use MWS and test it myself. :(
