So we had 8 players show up for our first Players Choice Marquee event at the Cult, with 4 folks calling to cancel at the last minute I was happy we had so many though a dozen would have been fun. No two decks alike in the BYOTTG event we ended with a wide division in the field 4 rounds left 4 players at 3-1 and it was up to The Mighty Mind of Mantis to decide the winner.

Redoscar - Travis took first as I stated above with his single loss to my Armed Escort deck. JLA/MK presented a powerful combination of strong character and brickwalling D'.

Kariggi - Kenneth - I took second, beaten down by my TNB AVengers Reservist played by American Maid making her the only 3-0 after 3 rounds, the only deck btw I didn't get my combo out against, she won every game by 4 untill...

Omar took third with an eXiles/FF deck going 3-1 maybe he'll step up and let us know who managed to beat him and the "invincible eXiles (update per Redoscar it was his MK/Trinity which handed him his loss but, he took down the Maid though in the last round to secure his third place victory and knocking her into ..

American Maid - takes 4th place 3-0 and then a loss in the final round to Omars eXiles/ff combined at the last moment when he found himself 5 shield agents short of his chosen deck, not too shabby.

I can't say how the rest of the field Tim, Agent-X, Ludin, & Matt fared off hand, but I did see Tim with his Avengers.../? deck in the first round and he tested my new armed escort deck down to the end forcing me to scurry around and try to keep up with the Human Torches burn as the game went on, and I played Matt and his Marauders/X-factor deck in the last round when I got paired down, despite going over it he missunderstood the Armed Escort combo and swung into an exhausted Forge in front of Red Skull on turn 3 for my only turn 3 victory on the night, Ludin ran a MK/Underworld deck despite a greater desire to draft, but with the event advertised we didn't want to disapoint those who'd driven to make it, he stilled played in our "marquee" event though despite how we know he all feels about these 'off' formats and I'd like to thank him for showing up and being a good sport., I never played him or Agent-X who was running some insane card drawing X-force and I think Weapon X deck and is always a pleasure to have at an event, I'd be willing to say one of my favorite players in the game today.

So not much of a report, but the bare bones of what went down on an 8 player night at Comic Cult, we'll be drafting next week and it looks like a promising turnout will be there already.

Thanks for voting in this event folks we all had a great time and expect an even better turn out for our next Marquee if we can get those last minute dropping out semi-regulars to show,

Its been some tough times for all these days, but vs is still a realy fun game with a great community and I wouldn't trade away the players I've met even for a job cutting people up with a chainsaw, Ludin

and hey I got to play another infinite combo deck and this time win a few rounds, I'd like to hear how the turnout was for Edgeworlds Silver Age event last night...guys?

Considering your target audience is much younger than I am... you should cater to them... not me.

So rocketgurl still plays... VS is alive!

Is this really the Player's Choice format? I'll hold one this week if it is.

It got the second largest number of votes behind the AE format across three sites (.org/realms/tcg), but since that format is newer and takes a little more time to build for over an already played format we winged the second choice into the first "players choice", with AE format being set for next month, and Gold in third place wow, standard no freaky alteration of the rules gold, I know I'm looking forward to month 3 (March-BTOTTG, April- DCAE, May-Gold baby) I knew I wasn't alone in wanting to dust off some of these boxes.

Hopefully with the idea of choosing ahead of time, we'll all be ready to play when the events come.
