Thank you HeroComplex and others for the explanation. And I suppose my other post was a bit too brash in its wording; I was feeling frustrated from having debated for over an hour [at least it felt like that long]. I hope there's no hard feelings John Stewart/Morpheus.

btw, I just wanted to add that I found the Konami game to be very helpful in learning chain/timing issues like this one. It's very visual. Too bad it seems like they took down the online match servers.
