I'm going to be posting my 100 deck ideas for the community at large to help me refine.

Rules:

1) Only 30 cards allowed per deck
2) Only 2 of any card allowed per deck
3) The decks are limited to 2 teams (and unaffiliated characters)
4) All non-character cards need to refer to the chosen teams (or no teams at all)
5) On-team tutors and pumps and tutors should be used over generic ones (i.e. Legionaires should use New Recruits, not Mobilize)
6) Marvel and DC Universes should be kept seperate when constructing the decks
7) These are ‘Kitchen Table’ decks, not ‘Pro Circuit’ Decks. They can be competitive, but the goal is fun!

The idea is to swing with very large characters who are assisted by ongoing plot twist effects. Terra-Man, Maxima, and Preus are all absolutely huge characters with ongoing support.

2 Terra-Man
2 Brainiac 13, Mental Giant
2 Professor Emil Hamilton ◊ Ruin
2 Lex Luthor, President Luthor
1 Maxima, Empress of Almerac
1 Metallo, Kryptonite Heart
1 Atomic Skull, Cursed
2 Preus
1 Brainiac 2.5, Future Intelligence
1 Doomsday, Evolution Advanced
1 Brainiac 13, B-13

2 Future Shock
2 Path of Destruction
2 Battle for Metropolis
2 Standoff
2 Executive Privilege
1 Revenge Pact
1 Never-Ending Battle
1 Hostile Takeover
1 Knowledge is Power

Edit:
Insanity out, Ongoing in

Definitely Concrete Jungle. No Bizarro Ray? It goes great with Never-Ending Battle. I like Dirty Tricks, but the Squad kind of pounds you into the dirt. And what about Imprisoned in the Source? Or whatever the name of that ongoing Squad card that locks a card that your opponent may play down is.

Or splashing Doom 3 to fetch something to thin the deck out. It seems you want to swarm with the RS support. But I like what you've got here. If you want to go full Doom/RS, I would say use some more of his weenies. Like Lancer or someone like that.

Some more suggestions:

+Doom, Diabolic Genius (or Doom 3 if you like Skull 4)
+Lancer
-Knowledge is Power
+Bizarro Ray
+Battle for Metropolis
-Brainiac 6

I'm going to put this up for a vote. Would people rather this be an insanity build, or would they like the modern age 'battle of metropolis' build?

Here's the non-insanity ongoing build:

2 Terra-Man
2 Brainiac 13, Mental Giant
2 Professor Emil Hamilton ◊ Ruin
2 Lex Luthor, President Luthor
1 Maxima, Empress of Almerac
1 Metallo, Kryptonite Heart
1 Atomic Skull, Cursed
2 Preus
1 Brainiac 2.5, Future Intelligence
1 Doomsday, Evolution Advanced
1 Brainiac 13, B-13

2 Future Shock
2 Path of Destruction
2 Battle for Metropolis
2 Standoff
2 Executive Privilege
1 Revenge Pact
1 Never-Ending Battle
1 Hostile Takeover
1 Knowledge is Power

-2 Path of Destruction
+2 Bizarro Ray (Its a ongoing and a defense lowering device)

I would argue that Bizzaro Ray to just too weak. It's more suitable for the lower defense deck that revolves around Lex Luthor, Champion of the Common Man and Kryptonite -those types of things. We could build that variant of the deck too, but if we're going with ongoing beats, I think we should shy away from that card. It's essentially the Qward of Revenge Squad. You don't include it unless you've built your deck around it!

Path of Destruction, while not as powerful as it would be in the 60 card version, is pretty thematic. Doomsday is on the Battle for Metropolis art, is a six drop in the deck, and on the Path of Destruction art. It can also just be pitched for Never-Ending Battle to work on the offense or defense and fuel the next one you play (janky, I know, but kind of fun)!

Thoughts?

Absolutely. I love the concept. I don't know if RS has enough to go solo though. If enough people vote for it though, we'll make it work!

I'm glad we've left Certifiable out of the deck. That card is a little too powerful in 30 card decks.

Honestly, I forgot that it wasn't Arkham stamped! But you're right, it is pretty powerful!

The poll's been up a while. It looks like the non-insanity group wins out.
