I get rather confused sometimes. I guess my main question is over these 2 cards.

1) Foiled Assassination
As an additional cost to play foiled assassination, return a legionnaires character you control to its owner's hand.

Recover target stunned character you control.

Basically, can you return a stunned character to your hand to recover a 2nd stunned character? I think the answer is yes, because cards that say Play only if you control Batman work while batman is stunned, so I guess you control characters while they are still stunned.

2) Encircle

To play, move a hidden [marvel knights icon] character you control to your visible area.
Target opponent moves a visible character he controls to his hidden area.

Can the opponent move a stunned character?
I think the answer is no because a stunned character even if it is in the visible zone isn't actually a visible character, it's a stunned character?

A stunned character loses his text box, and has to be exhausted, but otherwise doesn't really differ from a non-stunned character. They still have their affiliations and names, they're still either hidden or visible, and they're still controlled. (As evidenced by Foiled Assassination's reference to a "stunned character you control. ;))

Returning a stunned Legionnaire is perfectly fine---a character card in the front or support row is always a character and is always controlled by the owner of the row. And either you or your opponent can use a stunned character for Encircle, since the card doesn't restrict you to non-stunned characters like The Mist does. Even while stunned, a character must always be either visible or hidden.

Ouch, I feel kind of bad because I screwed someone out of a win at hobby league, although they just assumed it too, I didn't tell them. What happened was we were playing draft, I had punisher 7 drop (I had recruited punisher 2 earlier) and a hidden 4 and 5
He had a 4 5 6 and 7 drop, but the 4 and 5 were same team and the 6 and 7 were same team. So he sent his 4 and 5 into me, I KOed the 4 and stunned his 5, then he team attacked his 6 and 7 into me for the stun which put me negative but only left his 7 on the board. I then played encircle and he moved his only (nonstunned) visible character, his 7 drop, to the hidden and I sent my 4 and 5 direct for the win.
