This weekend will host Exe-Games Weekender 09, a long weekend of gaming madness. A joint event between the University of Exeter's Games Society and our FLGS, Clifton Road Games, the Weekender typically features a huge mix of board, card and roleplaying games, starting tomorrow at 10am and finishing Monday at 8ish.

This year a few of us who still play VS have gotten together to organise a tournament for the weekend. There are about 5 of us that still play actively, but mostly with older stuff, though some of us have a good selection of newer cards. As such:

Pro Circuit: Exeter

Coming this weekend to CRG, VS System is back. An event of a magnitude rarely seen in these parts. Modelled on the VS System Pro Circuit of days gone by, we are organising a three day event of Constructed and Draft:

Day One - Friday Night
Golden Age Constructed - Throw down with your old favourite deck in VS' most open format. Current banned list applies.

Day Two - Saturday
Justice League of America Draft - For those who prefer a Limited experience, a Draft with one of the greatest Limited sets made, featuring teams including JLA, JLI, Injustice Gang and the Secret Society of Supervillains and favourite characters such as Batman, Superman, Lex Luthor and Gorilla Grodd.

Day Three - Sunday
Golden Age Bring Your Own Set Constructed - A more testing format, Bring Your Own Set requires extra deckbuilding skill and provides a different play experience than many other formats.

Entry to the Weekender is £5 for the weekend.

Depending on the number of players, we will play either Swiss or Round-Robin.

Everyone is welcome, and no new or expensive cards are required, so it's a great opportunity for those who have played in the past to remember the good times and enjoy beating up superheroes with other superheroes. Any questions, PM me here or e-mail me at golfdeltafoxtrot(at)hotmail(dot)com.
