So I have Vs banners from Sneaks and other events and we are going to start giving them away as prizes.

Our first such tournament will be this Friday but I have a question, what format?

It's been a while since we've run an event at EW and I don't know which format would bring in the most (I forget what the "official" HL format for June is... maybe Kariggi can tell me).

I want to run Sealed so that I can play but I understand most players like Constructed so let me know.

I'll edit this post once I get more feedback.

Place: EdgeWorld, Costa Mesa CA (http://www.edgeworldstore.com)
Time: Friday, June 5 at 9:30pm
Format: Super Crossover Draft (all affiliated characters are considered to have all affiliations) MEV, MUN and either MVL or DCL.
Cost: $10
Prizes: Pick a Vs Banner, HL cards and boosters

EDIT: Added the format and final cost

Man I don't know if I'll even be in town you bastard...

I'm easy to what the masses want, Golden is fun but it will drive away Ludin, though whether we could get him to come play vs or not is likely in question anyway.

Are you going to be able to break the boys away from WoW to come on down to the VS table where super-humans battle for supremacy?

Straight Silver might be our best bet.

How about Super Crossover? Maybe everybody just gets 5 randon packs that could be from any set. Or any constructed format would be fine too. I'd just be happy playing again. [cool]

We'll definitely come down, at the very least myself, and hopefully some of the realm crew (Ludin included).

If its anything sealed, can we do some form of draft? I find it leads to the best skill test, as you can luck out with most sealed-x formats.

I don't think any of you guys have ever played in a Super-X draft... maybe we should do that:

1 pack MEV
1 pack MUN
1 pack DCL or MVL

It's actually very interesting because you don't have that "locked into a team" limitation and almost every card is useful.

While reading this thread I remember why I stopped going to hobby leagues. I don't want to play anymore "Happy Go Lucky"tm formats. Silver please, I want to go out with my favorite deck.

This isn't the last event.

The only reason I'm leaning towards sealed/draft is it's short notice and since I haven't done VS in a while... people may not have decks built.

Plus draft is interactive and social.

the only reason I'm leaning toward something unconstruced is though I myself have a deck I would be happy playing in silver, I don't think K does and he wont be around to build anything much less play test this week. If we could do the next one silver that would be great! Though I'm really going to try to be there either way! [grin] I MISS VS!

Always a fan of sealed supercrossover. This supercrossover draft sounds pretty fun too. Silver also works. If you decide on the format soon I might be able to get some of the 4Color crew over there.

I think I'm going to go with SuperX Draft.

You guys can always play constructed between rounds or on the side... you can't do that with sealed (unless you MiniMaster).

Now what sets?

1x MEV
1x MUN
1x DCL or MVL?
