Hi. Live cast of APZP?

See you ther.
OMG!

Want to deck talk over PM?
Haha sure. I don't even know what to run, but I have an idea. I might talk this over with all of the still playing Southern Cali players. I'll represent SoCal and we can have this so called face off.

Sorry for the delay...I have been dealing with a kidney stone and its just not been fun.

Top 2 decks at the Oroville Qualifier were a (1st) Modern Avengers Reservist deck and a (2nd) Classic AGL deck. The 3rd place deck was an Underworld/Brotherhood deck that centered around Meatmarket, Satana and the 1 drop Mystique that has all names while in the graveyard, library or hand. The 4th place deck was a Thunderbolts Modern build that used Radio-Active man and made him hidden.

The Top 2 decks at the Sacramento Qualifier were a (1st) Batman/Superman deck and a (2nd) Modern Avengers Reservist deck. The 3rd place deck was a Silver Age Fantastic Four build that used Clash of Worlds to get multiple of the main four FF characters out.

(I do not have the *exact* deck lists with me right this second, but knowing the decks gives you a basic idea of what was played.)

The Sacramento Qualifier was won by David Porterfield. David also won the constructed. Bonnie Coldiron won the Super Cross-Over Sealed.

The final donated prizes arrive this week, and we are all set with the cards for the tournament (the sealed and draft that is).

I would appreciate it if anyone who is planning on attending could give me a heads up with a rough head count. I am sure that I have enough product and prizes, but I am curious about how much space to clear at the store the night before the event. Send me an e-mail or leave a reply here. I will keep everyone updated with the current head count.

Thanks and I hope to see as many of you as I can on August 22nd.

Here is the breakdown of who has said they are going to make a showing on the 22nd:

Marysville/Yuba City Crew: 8-12 people
Sacramento Gang: 6-12 people
Stockton Goodfellas: 2-4 people
The Bay Area Gangsters: 4-8 people
Washington State Posse: 2 people
Reno Mafia: 3-4 people

I am not sure if anyone from SoCal is going to make the drive/flight for a one day event. (Long way to drive/fly just to play some cards.)

This puts our estimated numbers at 25-42 people.

I am making the rounds locally and informing those who are within a decent drive (less than 2 hours) about the event by touring local game and hobby shops. I figure that I can get another 5-10 players that are within driving distance but that are not members of our community (at least here on the interwebs).

If I left anyone out, please feel free to add yourself to the list.

We can't make it, but Ludin let us know if you need any cards to knock down those NorCal'ers.

Yes... I've been informed that there may be small SoCal contingent trying to make this event... Vs Generation Next.

Hopefully they will represent us admirably... and by admirably I mean making TheDerangedBear cry like a baby.

And could you brush up a little before you go Ludin.

I don't want you losing round 1 turn 3 to a girl with a hokey deck she's played twice.

Man this event is getting serious. I got to put my thinking cap on for this one. [hat] I was going to play something off the wall but i guess I should stick with the classics. But then again I never win with good decks LOL.

I thought you didn't even have to worry about constructed seeing as you already qualified for the draft?

Also, 4 members of team realms will be making the trip to represent for SoCal. And hopefully, get some bomb-diggity breakfast on the way.

So Reno is a Mafia!.. Cool by me I guess...

What do you people thing I should run? Im kinda stuck on what im considering

- Sentinel/S.H.I.E.L.D. Army
- Infinity Watch/Exiles
- B.P.R.D./Birds of Prey

I will say this... Im not the best player of this game and am going to the fun of it as VS is the only Card game I have fun while playing! And it gets me out of Reno for the day!

I was considering running a Jean Grey Rush I have been designing.. but I value not getting the crap kicked out of me. :) (No it doesn't have the 3-Drop Blink.. Though if it did it would easily be 200% faster.)
