I know of a good country breakfast place that is mom and pop owned. The waitresses remember you when you come in (at least they do in my case) and there is plenty of coffee and fresh biscuits. (I reccomend the gravy with the biscuits.)

The restaurant is located right off of I-5. You take the West El Camino Exit off of I-5 and make a right onto West El Camino. Follow West El Camino past 3 lights. The third light is Truxel Road, and right after the light you turn left into the parking lot. The Country Waffles place is in the same parking lot and sorta next to the Long Drugs/CVS store.

The weekend specials are great and they always have a good eggs benedict on the weekends as one of the specials. Omlets are great too. (All 3 egg omlets.)

Country Waffles - www.countrywaffles.com
1583 W El Camino Ave, Sacramento - (916) 921-5440

This place is not expensive and they are decently fast. It's also pretty easy to get from the waffles place to the event site.

As for afterwards, there are a lot of options:

*There is a Chevy's near the river that is pretty sweet.
*Chili's is always fun.

But, there is a bar located right next to the event site run by a Jamaican family. Good food and decent drinks, plus there is no drive. They play lots of loud music on the weekends, so if people want to talk, I can find a better place.

For those who like Ice Cream, there is Leatherby's less than a block from the event site. They make awesome ice cream and sundaes.

As for fast food around the event site, there are within 1 mile:
*Togo's
*Carl's Jr.
*KFC
*Arby's
*Hawaiian food
*Jack in the Box
*A mom and pop taco place
*McDonald's

I hope some of this helps.

I would be happy to look for other places depending on how many people want to go and what atmosphere they want to enjoy...especially for an 'after-party'.

<3 Thank you. That breakfast place will be hit up. And that bar maybe a little too loud by the description. The best is having a nice cold beer and sharing stories, even if its nerdy stories on how you lost/won for the day with music in the background. It doesn't have to be a bar just a place with Beer and ok food, the most important part is the company!

I have a solid confirmation of 5 players from the South Bay.

Adam - you in? Will I see you, or will you be nursing a hangover that day? Or both?

Do we have a more concrete idea of how many folks are gonna be out there? Also, where can I find council errata and rulings on cards and card interactions, seeing as Baldy said we are playing with these rules.

Thanks in advance.

There are only 2 council recommendations:

1. 3-drop Blink is banned
2. Armed Escort only works once per attack

Other than that - everything else is as UDE left it.

As to number of people...I'm guessing at least 20, with up to 50.

I hope there's video/picture coverage.
I might get some coverage of my casual get together this Saturday on the East as well
[PM me with questions if any, I don't want to derail the thread].

There wil be at least 30 people and possibly as many as 50.

Unfortunately, I can't get any more exact because some people that would attend have prior commitments that they are trying to get around and they will not know until the day before or day of if they can attend.

As it stands right now, the top 5 in the constructed will join the draft. Everyone else will play in the Super Cross-Over Sealed.

Please be on time...it will be difficult to register 40-50 people in 30 minutes as is, and if anyone shows up after the tournament begins we would have no option but to give them a match loss to put them into the tournament. (If you know how Mantis works, you know this is something we can't work around.)

The tournament registration begins at 11am and will end at 11:30am: There is no penalty for being early, so everyone should be on time.

And just FYI, the building the event takes place in is PINK: It should be easy to spot from the street. (On Arden Way between Bell Street and Fulton Ave)

Adam tells me he will be present physcially...but mentally may be a bit of a stretch...

I look forward to seeing you all there!

For breakfast I would reccomend

The Cricket. It's a hole in the wall breakfast/lunch place that has some kickass po-tate-toes! It's about 15 minutes farther than the comic shop. Near madison and I-80.

For the after party......come to my place. Well my friends right up the street from my place. I live in lincoln, about 20 minutes north of the comic shop. Were throwing a massive keger, tons of people.
If you want info let me know.

I was going to brign a fun deck....guess with all the hyope I should come packing with something nasty. What....I might get some wins in.
