If you have the initiative, they build first. Then it's your initiative again.

The other Batcave is useless too.

It's not entirely pointless. There is a definite advantage in knowing what your opponent is building, especially if you are attacking first.

I just don't think there's enough of a point to include it in a deck, so maybe this is just semantics. It is a bad card. I wish I had four of it.

I wouldn't call it a bad card. Knowing what your opponents recruit before you recruit can seriously alter what characters you recruit. Not only by what they recruit but by how the set their formations.

Other benefits from the Batcave include not missing drops when in combination with:
Mirror Image
Secret Origins

Its also a benefit when playing with Bitter Rivals as you get the extra +3ATk for Doom if you team-up.

Another card that can help you out is Bullseye, #1 with a Bullet to get an easy KO, not to mention the obvious advantage you get when Hunting the most recently recruited character.

There are uses for the card just have to get creative with it.

Batcave is just a piece of a puzzle that is Gotham Knights. Alone the card seems worthless, but combine it with a team that utterly ****s your stuff, has one of the best search cards in the game, and has a ton of stuff to negate your ****, having the ability to know what they recruit and how they form up is incredibly advantageous.

Um. Batcave + Annihilus (MOR) + Blastaar (MOR) = Holy crap.

Turn 7: After recruiting Blastaar on 6, and having a GK character in play, flip Batcave and let them build first. Then you build, and recruit Annihilus. At the start of your attack step, stun a front and support character thanks to Annihilus and Blastaar's effects and Batcave, which set them up.

So... you could take the advice of the guys in this thread and build a bad deck around it. I stand by my original appraisal of the card. It sucks.

But I like bad cards, so I'm on board with that. They can't all be Garths and Have a Blasts.

Aqualad is NOT a great card, bkwrds.

Aw, come on! If you hit him turn one, you have 6 cards in your KOd pile by turn three. That's a seal of excellence if I've ever heard of one.

He's....meh. If you put a very valuable card in your KO'd pile, and then you miss Tempest because all of your search is IN the KO'd pile, then what? You just keep throwing your cards away?

EDIT: If you could show me a very viable Aqualad deck, then it might change my mind. Til then, thumbs down to the Lad.

If we're being serious, I was talking about 5 drop Garth. The 1-drop Aqualad is terrible. Another bad card I like.

I know, I was just pickin' with you. Tempest will always be good. Aqualad? Not so much.
