Death Times Five Set JLA If target attacker would cause breakthrough while attacking a character this turn, instead, that character's controller loses 5 endurance. Can someone explain this to me? Who burns for 5? My friend keeps using this on me and says I burn and he takes no breakthrough when i attack him. If its that good then everyone would use it. |

The text "that character's controller" is referring to the character that is being attacked. You can use this effect to your advantage in two different ways: If I attack Wild Sentinels with Magneto, the Sentinels player plays it and take 5 endurance instead of 15 breakthrough. I'm defending with Scarlet Witch, Wanda Maximoff, attacked by Thing, Heavy Hitter. The Fantastic Four plays it, and I lose 5 endurance instead of taking 1 breakthrough.
