Alright the card "Siphon energy" says ( choose a non-ongoing plot twist in any resource row. you may play it.) Does that mean you can take a card from an opponent's resource row and play it as your own effect? For instance, if an opponent had a savage beatdown in his resource row that had already been played can I play that card as my own pump? |

I think it does. I believe, the way it works is that Syphon becomes a copy of that card. So if you target the savagebeatdown, it means your attacking ch. gets +5atk. |

and siphon energy can't copy itself to cause an infinite loop, but its effect can be used on another copy of siphon energy. so 2 siphon energys in the resource row causes an infinite loop i believe |

nope. Errata nailed that one in the dome. It now can only target face-up non-siphon energy non-ongoing plot twists. It doesn't care where it finds the legal target as long as it is a legal target. Also, it become a new copy. Independent of the source. complimentary scenario: Your opponent has a 3-drop Wolverine. it's turn 4. he plays I am Doom, giving it a +1/+1 counter. For some reason, they use A Curse of Darkness [which removes it from the game for the turn]. When it comes back, it does not come into play with a +1/+1 counter, since it is considered to be a new Wolverine. Same thing with Siphon Energy. |

There is only one infinite loop that Siphon Energy can cause that I know of. Draw your deck, have a X-Force character, have a Black Box face-up in your resource row or your opponents resource row, play Siphon Energy from your hand targeting that Black Box, put Siphon Energy back into your deck. Rinse, and repeat. later, Kj P.S: And it might sound crazy but there are a few builds that involve X-Force that can draw their deck by Turn 4-5. I know Siphon Energy is a 6-Cost PT but there are a few effects that you can play that will make SE cost less. Edited by KardKrazy, Aug 17 2009, 08:51 AM.
