I cannot believe I read this entire thread. Time to contribute.

My name is Brian, I am 32 and married. I work as an IT Manager for a small distribution company in VT, where my wife is from. I am a PC/Mac/Linux person, as I believe in the right tool for the right job. My love of comic books comes from my childhood, I doubt I will ever outgrow it. I got into VS because they made a Batman team, I am one of the many "Batfanboys" out there, thinking that if Batman has enough prep time, he could take Galactus. I used to play Heroclix, and I loved it. I am more of a "comic" gamer than a "gamer" gamer. I have no interest in other CCG's or miniatures that don't involve super heroes. I watch a lot of movies, read a lot of books.

I have two dogs, Logan and Cable. They are rescued Greyhounds, and they are quite lazy. I have two cats, Xavier and Zoe. They are pretty lazy as well. The wife and I used to have a fish tank, but there was a slight issue over cleaning it. That, and a certain aggressive uber-Goldfish we called "Bob" killed everything in the tank, and then died one weekend.

I love music. I grew up with parents that loved Rolling Stones, Ramones, Bob Marley, Joe Jackson, Johnny Cash, Erasure (I know), Rush, etc. As i grew into adolescence I listened to a lot of metal (mad props to mrmaul558 for "Somewhere in Time," great album). I eventually became a skater punk, listening to NOFX, Op Ivy, Bad Religion, Minor Threat, Black Flag, etc. Now I have an immense music collection that comprises all of my tastes (right tool = right job, remember?), and when I can't find the right tunes, I play them on my 6-string.

Not religious. Religion often assumes that there is a "plan," and the only plan I see is chaos. Nothing we do matters, so all that matters is what we do. Make the most of it. Enjoy life.

*I do want to add that for all the religious debate in this thread, you guys have handled it wonderfully*

Transformers and GI Joe movies are horrible horrible ideas, unless they are animated, or all CGI. [bang]

I think I've hit everything. Great thread. [coolguy]

I find it very interesting that you have greyhounds.. I have one myself, and his name is Sherman.. Very cool dog! I also have a cat (Mario) that acts exactly like a dog, because he is never around other cats, only dogs. He likes water, he loves to have his belly rubbed, and he loves to play fetch!

I also think it's cool that you are a big Batman fan, because I am definitely one myself! [grin]

Anyways, great post!

Always glad to see other greyhound owners!

Great dogs that deserve a good home, otherwise they are killed.

I read this entire thread myself. Gotta be the best thread in this place that's not VS related. Hell, probably the best thread, period.

And yes, Somewhere in Time is just AWESOME! :)

Stranger in a Strange Land is pretty beast. Deja Vu, Wasted Years, the list goes on and on.

Love the greyhound thing, but I am more of a cat person.

As far as greyhounds being killed, I HATE it.. It just doesn't make any sense to me, but people are just so cruel these days.

I think it's probably because greyhounds don't really fit the mold of what people consider a "cute" dog. I know I've never really been a fan of how they look but it's cool when you see them at a dog park and they hit that extra gear when other dogs are chasing them.

On a related note, here's a picture of my puppy (taken a couple months ago):

Sorry the pics are so big, not sure how to re-size them on here.

You must be high, I have no other explanation for this.

If you don't find this cute, you have no soul.

It's not the head though, it's more the body shape. Of course a dog is going to look cute in that kind of picture but again, this:

isn't what most people would consider to be a classically cute dog.
