Where are all the cat people?

There is almost nothing cuter than a kitten playing with a ball on a string. Watching them jump and run across the room as you tease them with a simple stringed ball is just priceless. And hours and hours of laughter.

No, it's not either of my dogs. I was stuck at work, and didn't have the time to upload a pic of mine to Photobucket.

I guess I can see what you are saying with their shape, as they were built for speed, not comfort. They look like anorexics. However, they are some of the most gentle and loving creatures I have encountered.

So, what's the next random thing we can talk about? I vote bra size. [grin]

Personally I think there's nothing cuter than kittens in a blender. They're so cute all squiished in there and playfully trying to push off the lid.

While I am also not a fan of Greyhounds I still think it is screwed up that they get killed like they do. Now you are going to get me to post pictures of my three dogs=):

Lucky - European Boxer (My puppy...he was 89 lbs when last weighed=):
Posted Image
Ginger - Miniature Dachsund (13 years old and still kicking=):
Posted Image
CoCo - Yorkie (He's a breed of Yorkie that isn't tiny):

I love my doggies=),

Love that Brindle coat on Cable.
Very nice,
Kj
P.S: And yes Lucky is a monster=P. I adopted him 5 months ago and he has put on something like 10lbs since then.

Never noticed this thread until now (not surprising since I don't venture too far outside of the Fan Created/MWS/General VS threads), but I am exploring the other threads a bit more these days. Some of you may know me from the Fan Created thread, but I'll post a bit more info about me:

My name is Jason, I'm 26, and I live in Winter Park, FL. (it's a suburb of Orlando). I graduated from UCF a little over two years ago, and I work at CoolStuffInc.com, a TCG, board games, minis, etc. retailer, which I'm sure some of you all have been to before. I work as the head TCG buyer/pricer (I prefer "TCG Importer/Exporter" for the Seinfeld fans out there [grin] ), which means I deal with pricing Magic and UFS cards specifically to keep us up to date (and VS occasionally to help out our other pricing guy who does WoW, VS, L5R, and the minis games) and spending the company money to keep us stocked up on singles. I also do web graphics for the site and I run the Buy List on our site so if you ever send in any cards/minis to sell to us you'll be dealing with me specifically! My dream job of being a head TCG designer almost came true last year when I was offered the position of head UFS designer by Fantasy Flight Games, but due to circumstances I had to turn down the offer [sad] .

I love hockey (go Bruins!) and football (go Ravens!) and their fantasy sports equivalents. I am also an avid music and concert/movie poster collector. I have quite an extensive CD and vinyl record collection with lots of rare goodies that I obsess over. My townhouse, which I share with my lovely girlfriend of 2 years, is filled with lots of custom movie artwork (Lost Boys, Big Lebowski, Big Trouble in Little China, The Road Warrior, Total Recall, Robocop, Blade Runner, Goldfinger, and the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly are featured in my living room right now) and concert prints of my favorite bands adorn the walls of every nook and cranny I can fit them in as well.

Other than that, I love to hangout with friends, design/play VS, read books (favorite author is Kurt Vonnegut) and comics, play video games, and drink beer (I love Newcastle so much I have a kegerator filled with it at all times [coolguy] ).

It was good to catch up on this thread and learn more about the guys I see all the time around here and know a little more about them. See you all around the forums!

I'm a huge cat person. Don't get me wrong, dogs are fun too. Growing up, my dog would lay on my feet while I played video games, which I found hilarious. However, dogs often want me to be far more energetic than I am. I don't want to go outside and run around because I'm very lazy. I'd much rather sit at my comp. and type about Vs. Cat's don't demand walks!

PS Not saying cats don't have cons of their own!

Dogs are way more effort then they are worth.

I have a cat, and one day hope to own an armadillo. Yes, you heard me right.

I love my 4 cats.

One of my cats, Marshmellow, super fluffy and part Bermese, thinks she is a dog. She walks with us (my wife and I), and even knows when to 'heel'. (She stops walking and sits as close to your foot/leg as possible until you start walking again.)

She prefers to be petted like a Dog: Rough petting is great, but if you are gentle, she will bite you.

She has big giant Blue Crossed Eyes.

Two of my cats are rescued animals that were abused. Though they are somewhat timid, they have great personality and are very loving.

Another one of my cats, Salty, likes to yodel in the bathroom. (Yes, you read that right...and she got named Salty because she looks like Salt and pepper mixed...odd name, but an even odder cat.) It was only funny the first 150 times she did it though...now it's annoying to be woken up at night by a cat that is singing. (She's fixed, so I have no idea why she yodels.)

Aren't quirky pets the greatest?
