I live in rural Manitoba, Canada. When I played VS regularly I lived in Winnipeg, and played with a great group of guys at Galaxy Comics and Collectibles. I stopped playing when I moved away from the city because I had nobody to play with, and recently I started looking at my cards and got a hankering to play, so I was very happy to learn there is still an on-line VS community! I'm the Recreation Director for my town, meaning I do everything from writing grant proposals to organizing our soccer program to running scavenger hunts on Canada Day. I'm pretty big into sports; I'm a certified official for volleyball and soccer, and am currently working on my Level 2 curling certification (which qualifies me to coach at provincial-level competitions). I love coaching and playing around equally, with officiating the easy third (but at least I get paid for that!). I'm pretty big into comics, and like to dabble in things like video editing and writing. I have been a regular at the Tales of the Parodyverse message board for over 10 years, where we write stories about our own shared superhero universe. It's an awesome group of people, and I have actually made over 30 VS cards featuring our characters so far (though I plan to redo all of them to make them more cohesive as a team at some point). I'm married, with no kids at the moment but we hope to have our first one sometime soon. As others have, I recommend getting married, but prepare for your VS time to be reduced. :) I'm planning on getting together with my old VS group during the Central Canada Comic Con in October, though not likely at the actual Con. I think we'll just be getting together in the evening to catch up with each other, which I'm pretty pumped about. This game got me some great friends that I still keep in touch with. |

Hmm where to begin. Ah Ha! "cracks knuckles" My official name is Corey. I also go by the name Raven. (Despite the names I am male...) I'm 21 years old. I don't drink/smoke/do drugs. I'm also not really into the party or club scene. I sure sound fun don't I? I was born and raised in Syracuse, NY for 18 years. I ended up moving to Arizona in 2007 to attend college. It's much cheaper than NY is, but the education is kind of iffy. I guess the line you get what you pay for works here lol. I'm going for a certificate in web development/design taking my old sweet time in the proccess of doing so. I work part time (one day a week) making 11 dollars an hour demoing food at a local cost co for people to possibly purchase. So yeah be jealous! lolI've been playing card games for about 10 years now give or take. I love VS system. I've been in and out of the game for years. The last set I bought from was Avengers. VS system however is my second favorite card game. First spot will ALWAYS be good ol magi-nation :) A game that died before VS came out, but was amazing. I have also played about 30 other card games. I've been around for a while 1) Magi-nation 2) VS system 3) DBZ (Score NOT the bandai crap) 4) The chess game where who ever sets up first wins and you can't do anything to stop it otherwise known as the pokemon tcg... xD I love warhammer fantasy, but haven't played in years. I like comics I read: Teen Titans/Birds of Prey/Uncanny X-men/X-Force (Come september yay for pyslocke )/X-menI'm a big Cassie sandsmark fan... scratch that HUGE fan of hers. She was amazing in young justice and even better in Teen Titans :) I will always trade for foily or non foily versions of her cards heh I'm probably the only one on the boards here, but I'm a Libertarian. In otherwords I'm considered a threat to the establishment. (Not really though this party will never have any actual power... xD) Saying this party has power or is a threat is like saying conservatism has power outside of the United States. (lol the rest of the world is just a varying degree of liberalism which is why most countries don't understand our political system IMO) I'm spiritual, but not religious. I believe in more than one God, and also believe they're probably energy. I don't care what other people practice so long as you don't disturb me or my loved ones with your belief system. However I do, believe there is probably a little bit of truth to each religion that has come into existance and the farther you go back the more likely you'll find better "truths." That is my opinion anyway. I Personally don't like the military, because I don't believe in legalized killing. However I really don't give a rats arse about what this country does... I do support friends and family in the service though that chose to join willingly. GOALS AND DREAMS: I would love to open up my own movie theatre and or hobby shop that's open 24/7 like the one I currently go to :) If you want to know more than this just ask I'm pretty open <_< >_> |

Thanks for all the congrats, I'm still going though as I've yet to hit my goal weight. KK, I got the videos from a friend who got disappointed and stopped. So I just had to up for the equipment, pull up bar, resistance bands, push up bars, etc. I bought a little at a time but all together I'd about $150 - $175. The toughest thing about the program is the change in food. So I had to get used to a whole new diet, I mainly stay as natural and organic as I can. No more sitting by tv snaking on soda and chips. Which is tough in a house full of kids. I found livestrong.com which helps me basically count my calorie intake. Great sight I recommend it highly. Also, so there's no confusion. My name Reavon is pronounced Rev-in similar to the knights of the old republic character. Just an fyi. Edited by Reavon, Aug 13 2010, 08:29 PM.

I also lost a bunch of weight this summer with P90X. Though I cheated (I only used the cardio x disc). Still, I lost 30 lbs in 2 months. Those that saw me at Gen Con saw a very different me than the people around me are used to seeing! |

lol...I only weigh 170lbs and I'm 5'10". So if I lost 30 lbs I'd be one skinny dude. I was curious about using it to get in better shape though. Thank you for the response Rev-in:) later, Kj |

No I don't have a problem with a cop shooting a drug dealer that has a gun pointed at him. Both parties are in the wrong, but the drug dealer fell for the trap that somehow this cop has authority over him. If you're a cop you ONLY have legal jurisidiction over other people who play in the public sphere. It's kind of like saying all these laws apply to humans when in fact they don't they CAN'T it's ILLEGAL. There's a reason why the preamble of the constitution says "we the people" and NOT "we the humans." If people would start waking up to how this country operates humans might be better off in the long run. I completly understand if you don't get what I'm saying though lol |

I'm 5' 10" also but right now I'm at 195LBS (was 225), I'm aiming to get to 180 - 175 LBS then start to bulk up from there. Scott that's great to hear I also have if you want or if anyone wants an Excel file that basically keeps track of your days and what you have to on that days. Also has sub-menus keeping track of your weight and reps. Just send me a message and I'll email it to you. If anyone want to link up out of the forums I'm on FB, Seems like We jacked the thread (sorry). Anyway, here my Facebook link All I ask is you put VSSystem.org on the request so I know who you are. http://www.facebook.com/#!/DJAuthority |

Problem with me is the closet NHL team is the hurriances which is an hour to hour and half away, or I can go to charlotte and watch their AHL team which is about an hour away. Driving is about the same but NHL tickets are so expensive I see us going to charlotte more than the Hurriances. One of the coolest things I have gotten to do is go inside Maple Leaf Gardens, sadly it was in the summer so I didnt get to see a game or anything. :( |

In a force of irony, my true weight loss actually came from those pics of me in the Green Lantern shirt; it wasn't till I started seeing those that I realized how fat I had gotten again, and of course the money helped me get to a personal trainer. I may try P90X, though I've been told it's less about muscle building (which is where I am now, I'm actually pretty content with my weight, might want to lose a few more pounds of fat though I've been told not to, but would love to get some more muscle in my legs and abs). But it's great hearing all the gamers are getting aboard the health kick; I wish I could get more of our local gamers motivated :). |

I don't think I've ever met a single person who's gotten their money's worth in this dieting fad. It seems ridiculous that people need a DRUG to lose weight. Whatever happened to drinking a lot of water, doing daily exercise and eating salad instead of steak twice a week? |

For the record P90X isn't a pill or any medicine. It's a series of exercise routines that you are suppose to be paired with eating healthy (as you suggested) to help lose weight quickly and in a healthy manner. Some people's physiology actually helps them build muscle quicker than others through these series of exercises while others just lose weight. From what I understand the exercises alter each day and change so you aren't working the same muscles over and over each day so your body doesn't get use to what you are doing which is why it is so effective. later, Kj Edited by KardKrazy, Aug 17 2010, 12:55 AM.
