Cyke is correct. The benefits are great and if you can take military life you won't be better taken care of. While my posts were extremely negative towards the Air Force I do have to give it credit where credit is due. The benefits are phenomenal. Oh and as for my job in the Air Force, it was re-fueling Air Planes which is what led me into the weekend job I now have. I actually enjoyed the job just not the people I worked with.

yeah, you were on the flight line. the air force is kinda divided up, those who work on the flight line, and those that don't. I have a desk job, got my own cubicle and shit. I'm not messing with billion dollar equipment, or people worrying about my schedule, hell I mostly work alone, and come and go as I please.

I know some friends who love working on the flight line, being outside, working with thier hands, actually seeing what tax payers money is used for, and i have friends who hate being in the cube farm and dealing with massive paper work, but for me, give me a comfy chair and air conditioning, plus internet access and i'm set!

Agreed. While I enjoy the refueling job I enjoy my Full Time job WAY more. I am the US Airways Cargo Manager. For the most part it is a desk job where I keep up with the inventory and files=).

Voulez-vous. It means do you want. Hence the line in the song:

Voulez-vous coucher avec moi, ce soir meaning do you want to sleep with me tonight.
Doesn't it mean do you wanna have sex with me? Thats how I always thought it went.

My name is Jared Owens. I'm an old 26 year old who's been married for 7 years. No children yet.....and hoping to keep it that way for a bit more. My wife Emily and I live in Columbus, OH and she is not fond of VS. Whenever I break out the cards with the limited playgroup we have here, she will undoubtedly call me a dork. For this reason I have resisted the urge to buy a few cases of Marvel Legends lately =D. No use trying to justify that one to her....cuz it ain't happening. I contract work with WOW Cable currently doing installation for them, and can't complain except for the fact that work has been crazy busy lately. We enjoy doing social things with friends (sometimes surprising how often this revolves around happy hour, even in drinking in moderation good deals are good deals =) We are devoted christians and a lot of our free time is used for the ministry work. We are Jehovah's Witnesses (feel free to PM with questions/thoughts there always seem to be quite a few misconceptions)

This thread has been an enjoyable read for me. Always good to learn more about people and I am surprised by this......

With all the subtle hints about religion and each ones own beliefs nobody has taken anything personally which is great. Its good to see nobody getting too excited about it or riled up. For that everyone is to be seriously commended. I discuss religion a lot and am surprised how many people get upset at even just sharing a scripture with them. Caraziness!

Strictly speaking, I believe that Very specific sects of Hinduism and Buddhism are the only religions that would define themselves as "Polytheistic"... And even that is not strictly true. In fact, the eastern religions can actually be followed without believing in a God, the biggest tennet is self improvement (of course, it does go a bit weird about spirits and ancestors, but I digress).

While most outsiders view Chrisitianity as Polytheistic, they consider themselves Monotheistic (3 as 1). Muslims may seem like they worship Jesus and Muhammad, but they technically classify both as prophets. Judaic believes in strict Monotheism, Scientology has no god but believes in clensing dark vengeful spirits (spiritually atheistic, though one of the few religions that accepts people embracing other tennets within their religion).

Judism, Christianity, and Islam all worship the same one god.

The trinity must exist in Christianity to avoid violation of the 10 commandments.

Well it's basically a more polite way of saying that I guess. They essentially mean the same thing.

Sleep with me is a euphemism for will you have sex with me, a common convention in the english and apparently french language, is Spanish that much more blunt about these things ST?

Oh no no no we also have the "will you sleep with me" or "do you want to sleep with me" lines but I though the gloves were off here and we could say "Do you want to have sex with me" without offending anyone. I mean we are talking very relaxed about religion which continues to amaze me so I didn't think the word SEX would cause any problems.

BTW- The trinity is there because it is one God, just different manifestations of it, not to avoid contradictions with the 10 commandments. Water can be found in solid (ice), liquid (water), or gas (steam) yet it will always be H2O. Same thing with God I guess. Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Different forms of the same entity.

Dave I was actually thinking more along the lines of actually worshiping a multitude of gods all the time. Not by years or seasons like some current religions.

right but the actual translation of the word is sleep not sex that is another word even though they implie the same meaning.

chicken or the egg, only by using the three manifestations of one being can you avoid "worship no other gods" while praying to "the son of god" who is god, biblically refered to as Jesus Christ.

If the Christ was in fact a seperate being, and not a physical manifestation of the "one" you could not pray to him without violating the commandments. Thus the "philosophical" construct of the trinity.

I was born and confirmed a chatholic, CCD/Catechism, the book cover to cover, The Lost Books of the Bible and the Forgotten Books of Eden, study of the counel of Nicaea...I dable.
