Well my point was that, by following the human generations in the bible, you can calculate that the Earth was created just over 6000 years ago (according to them).

Movies are off-topic; this is about life and now religion.

There are those who believe the world is only 6k years old, despite evidence to the contrary. My mom is one of these; religion isn't about logic. The jewish calender counts from that alleged beginning. But no, few truly follow that. To disprove Christianity, you show how Jesus was derived from other gods in the region, to disprove Judaism is more difficult, but it's easy to show that if they were to follow their bible stricly they should all be stoned :).

Shadowtrooper I will say that I went out and bought Transformers 2 before even seeing it, and it wasn't a mistake at all. It is an AMAZING MOVIE! It probably will get all kinds of rewards for being the best movie of the year.. I would vote for it anyway.

I have no Idea I'm very anti-religious. Not believeing in the devil kind of anti-religous I just really don't like religion I honestly think it's stupid and just causes problems.

Although it's offtopic I just have to say, I saw Transformers 2 in the cinema and it was one of the worst films I have ever seen. The acting was atrocious and the script and directing were even worse. The bit quite near the start where Even Stevens aka Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox are just insulting eachother really badly in the sunset and the camera pans around them about 50 times. I was actually just cringing through the whole scene, it was hard to watch it was so bad. The only thing that was going for it was the robot fighting but that was too confusing as every Decepticon in the film looks exactly the same. Everything about the film was just atrocious.

Wow,
I think you are the first person I have come across that disliked that movie.
I for one found it highly entertaining. No where near the best movie ever but definitely entertaining=).
later,
Kj
P.S: I am going to see Paranormal Activity. I have heard nothing but GREAT things about this movie. Everyone I know who has seen it says it does actually scare the s**t out of you and leaves you with that creepy feeling once you leave.

Isn't it part of life to watch movies? And what if I just created a religion called Cinematology? Not trying to stir the pot but despite having been able to talk about religion so long without a flame war I think its time we pack the bags and quit while we are ahead.

Well, only 19% of critics gave the movie a positive review:

http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/transformers_revenge_of_the_fallen/
http://www.metacritic.com/video/titles/transformers2

and it only has an average rating of 6.2 out of 10 by normal people:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1055369/

And if you think it's that great, read this

Never said it was great. Said it was highly entertaining. Also, if a critique doesn't like it I will more than likely love it. Me and critiques have no where near the same taste in movies. It's a movie about oversized alien robots here to defend the earth. What is there to critique? It is either entertaining or crap [grin] . I found it entertaining.

They crushed my childhood dreams and spit on me while I was trying to pick them up. I hate them forever. I do want to see Whip It, and Zombieland was pretty good.

And religious text writers don't tend to sign their works. Who wrote the Greek myths? Nobody knows, that would kinda remove the "written by god" mystique.

G.I. Joe did this to me far worse than Transformers 2 ever did it you. I'll bet money on that fact with 1,000,000 to 1 odds.
