Alright guys here is something new for the community that is backed by The Council. As of today the Vs Community will now have a Community Ranking System for real life tournaments and online tournaments. Rankings for real life tournaments will be kept seperate from your ranking for online tournaments (Details about the Community Ranking System - Online or CRS-O will be posted in a seperate thread). The Community Ranking System - Real Life or CRS-RL will be your one stop shop to check in on your ranking once tournaments get going. What tournaments you ask? Well Tournaments that are Council Sanctioned, which is just a fancy way of saying if you hold a tournament you abide by the following 4 simple rules:

1.) Your tournament would abide by the Council's suggestion to ban 3-Drop Blink and go with the Armored Escort errata.
2.) No matter what the format sets played with must be only UDE printed material at this time.
**NOTE: This is subject to change in the future once/if The Council rotates Fan Sets in.**
3.) If possible use Mantis to do your pairings. While doing match-ups and keeping results at tournaments I ask that you use handles/screennames from VsSystem.Org. If you have a player who is not a member of VsSystem.Org that is totally cool, everyone gets in on this fun=). Just use their First and Last name and I will take care of the rest when implementing them into the ranks. If they come to site and join at a later time because they are interested in their ranking then I will gladly change out their First and Last name for their newly acquired handle/screenname.
4.) Pictures are a must. We and the community wants to look in on the fun from the outside=). Tournament reports are nice and fun to read but not a must.

On top of these rules all The Council asks is that you please bring the Tournament to our attention at least a couple days prior to it starting so I will know that I will have Tournament Results coming my way=). You will need a person (more than likely the T.O) at the tournament to keep up with wins and loses in Constructed events and if you play Sealed/Draft to keep up with the wins and loses seperately. Once the tournament has finished all you would have to do is submit the results to me. I will do the math and implement the results into the CRS-RL. I will be the sole keeper of rankings so there is no confussion with multiple Council Members trying to upkeep the rankings. How you ask are we doing the rankings? Well that is simple. I will be using a thing called the Win-Lose Percentage Formula. In more detail here is a cut and paste from my purposal to the other members of The Council with a few edits so you don't see a couple other surprises that are in the works that explains how the Win-Lose Percentage works:

Win-Lose Percentage Formula:

Here is an example of the Win-Lose Percentage formula in action for our game.

Tournament #1
Tournament Advisor - KardKrazy
4 Rounds

1.) carlosthedwarf: 4-0
2.) ShadowTrooper: 3-1
3.) Number6: 2-2
4.) captain_comet: 2-2
5.) Onyxweapon: 1-3
6.) kariggi: 0-4

So the Win-Lose Percentage at the end of this tournament would show:

1.) carlosthedwarf: 100%
2.) ShadowTrooper: 75%
3.) Number6: 50%
4.) captain_comet: 50%
5.) Onyxweapon: 25%
6.) kariggi: 0%

Then say, just for example purposes, The Council deems an event THE BALDMAN is hosting as Council Sanctioned. In this tournament amazingly the same people who played in Tournament #1 are playing in THE BLADMAN's tournament=P. At the end of the tournament which was 6 rounds the results are:

NO HAIR TOURNAMENT
Tournament Advisor - THE BALDMAN
6 Rounds
1.) kariggi: 6-0
2.) captain_comet: 5-1
3.) Onyxweapon: 4-2
4.) carlosthedwarf: 3-3
5.) Number6: 2-4
6.) ShadowTrooper: 1-5

So with the Win-Lose Percentage formula the results for that tournament would be:

1.) kariggi: 100%
2.) captain_comet: 83%
3.) Onyxweapon: 66%
4.) carlosthedwarf: 50%
5.) Number6: 33%
6.) ShadowTrooper: 16%

I would go in and update the current rankings after BALDMAN's tournament and incorporate them with the Tournament #1. The results would look like this:

1.) carlosthedwarf: 70%
2.) captain_comet: 70%
3.) kariggi: 60%
4.) Onyxweapon: 50%
5.) ShadowTrooper: 40%
6.) Number6: 40%

The reason Carlos is above Captain is because in the tournament rankings he was higher in the first tournament and came in the same place that Captain ranked in the second tournament so Carlos placed better when comparing the tournaments. Now in the case of Trooper and N6 it gets a little complicated as Trooper came in 2nd while N6 came in 3rd in the first tournament but Trooper bombed in the second tournament and came in 6th while N6 came in 5th. The only reason I gave Trooper the higher spot in this example is because he placed 2nd in the first tournament meaning he has placed higher than N6 has ever placed.

So once tournaments start firing up more frequently you will be able to keep up with how you are doing. The first tournament's results that will be put into the CRS-RL will be bkwrds "Battle of the Border - January 2010". We have already spoke and he is 100% good with this.
If you have any questions please discuss these matters at the discussion thread located here as I will be locking this thread down so no replies will be allowed here and all discussion can be centered in one thread:

If you want to see your online ranking the CRS-O is located here:
