I'll try to make it. My aim is DerangedBear. So according to the rules, I can: a) Play ESU b) Play Indebted but not play c) Gift Wrapped d) Spidey 4 Is that right? |

Hey, new guy here. If participation means posting here with a means of contact, Yahoo messenger - villain319. Consider me posted. Also, anybody got a recipe for chicken soup for the soul? I'd love to see how they get it in there |

That should cover everything; I had a ton of trouble with it and this helped me out a lot. |

I will say I've never had more difficulty undercurving; the Intergang deck was pretty fun, but could Peter out if you don't get Anti-life equation. The cabal deck seems really good, but too obvious. Darkseid seems the most powerful team overall; but I want to run something kookier if I can; I want to run something with something from both sets. I will say per some of our talks brickwalling is almost too easy for this format; the defensive pumps are insane, and there's nothing on the attack side that compares. Others messed with it at all? |

I'm a little worried about the amount of easy discard. Will do a bit more research. I definitely will not be attacking. One thing I do miss is the generics : / But I guess you could argue those killed the game heh... Edited by TheDerangedBear, Nov 18 2009, 02:04 PM.

The alt-costed 1 drop direct attacker and Black cat are both good; as is the reveal X cards plot twist. I had a little concern about that as well, especially since this format doesn't have any of the insane card engines from the past. I had a little concern about that; we'll see how it plays out though. Inherently none of them are huge; 1s and 2s are really easy to lockout of this format, and the plot twist is a 1-for-1 trade; and I believe all of them are combat-phase based. |

New Gods is great outside of this format but inside it with the limited amount of ATK pumps available they are insane. There are only two decks I think that can beat them in this format and they are Excalibur and Darkseid's Elite. I also agree with Dave and think that DE is the strongest deck in this format. They are the one team that have substantial ATK pumps and they burn at the same time. While I think Excalibur might be able to handle them, I absolutely KNOW that Darkseid's Elite can crush them because of the added on burn. And then there is one team in particular that can run with them all and I think they are who I might using...I wonder .later, Kj Edited by KardKrazy, Nov 18 2009, 03:48 PM.

DE and the Cabal are set to rule the format; attacking is difficult, and these decks simply have more weapons to fight against other control decks. NG aren't the only ones with solid defense; H4H has the most insane... +1 defense for each affiliation you control. MD has a -4/+4 (exhausts all your guys, but still gets solid bounce) and there is a generic +2 for each exhausted guy that goes with it from DSM-2. It's just tough to push damage. |

Oh and gift wrapped specifically mentions spiderman, and he is not in the set, so no play. Legend cards are good to go... I forgot the raw # of teams available in H4h / cabal; that does make it a fairly open format, but that's fine. And villian, can you get an AIM account? We can't contact you on yahoo.
