Just something I've kicked around for a while but know my friends wouldn't want to play against. Tell me where you'd go with this. Riddler Caliban Radioactive Man Wonder Woman Lex Luthor I'm not sure what you'd do with it but it looks painful to play against. Perhaps pointlessly redundant and going no where. |

I mean, Doom control does the same thing without worrying about team lockout. Doom 4 + Lex + Doom 6 says no payment powers and no plot twists; that's pretty good I hear. |

So I built this, rad man is not good without support so he is now Spider-Girl MUN, with 1 Man-Bull and 1 Kang. Fun but still losing. Human Torch at 6, Baron Zemo 8, 7 shifting around any ideas other than there is a better control deck, because yeah I know that, but this just seems realy annoying to play against and I have a friend I want to annoy. I'm using Eome, and Underground resistence, Omni...anything else? |

4-Riddler 4-Caliban 4-SpiderGirl 1-Kang 1-ManBull 4-Wonder Woman 4-Lex Luthor 2-Human Torch 1-? 1-Baron Zemo 4-Underground Resistance 4-Eome 4-Savage Beatdown 4-Acro Dodge 2-Omni 2-Fates Tower 1-Helm 1-Amulet 1-Cloak 1-CoLevitation 1-Bprd 1-Lasso of Truth (Indulgence) 2-New Baxter 2-HAB 4-Fury of the Amazons (sigh quadruple indulgence) So I'm having fun with this - no exhaust lock down control, just pure annoyance...any thoughts that will further help me annoy my friends and force them to make tough decisions to beat me. But isn't Kid O only annoying if I shift him with counters? Once he's in play he won't annoy anyone...though shift is nice, and I know C-man doesn't do anything unshifted, but he's a much smaller investment...though I should work on the C-man double Kid'O deck...that could bug hard before they kill me. |

..and before we go to combat I evade Spider-Girl to make it a non-issue...but do you think he'd be a better play than Lex on 5? |

I've been working on a similar deck for awhile now. The curve goes something like this: 2 Drop: 4x Black Cat 4x Mesmero 3 Drop: 2x Radioactive Man 3x Professor Emil Hamilton 3x Spider-Girl 4 Drop: 1x Wonder Woman 4x The Joker 5 Drop: 4x Mr. Sinister 6-Drop: 3x Holocaust 7 Drop: 2x Magneto Other Essentials: 4x Underground Movement (searchable, blanket Team-up) 4x Bad Press (searchable, stackable) 4x Enemy of my Enemy 4x Battleword 4x Death of the Dream 4x Grudge Match 4x The Unipower 2x New Mutations Basically the idea is to lock them out of plot twists or make plot twists too expensive for them. Use Spider-Girl and Mr. Sinister to take away powers. DotD to deal with locations. Grudge Match to attack safely and not be stunned back, thus gaining/maintaining board advantage (Holocaust's free stun helps with this too). Unipower mainly for the hidden area, but also for the power-up to help you attack safely. I haven't play-tested it much, but that's the list I'm leaning towards now. Suggestions are welcome. I think Mesmero is the weak spot right now, since there's no room for Weapon Plus Satellite. |

Yeah you have to go first to even have a viable shot at getting a hunted character on the board. Radioactive man is less effective without additional counter support but Bad Press works well with him. |

I've thought about replacing Mesmero with Caliban, but that takes the oomph out of The Joker. Maybe replace Mesmero with Caliban and The Joker with Diabolical Genius? Of course, then I need to blanket out the Doom affiliation. Hmmm... |

Wonder Woman should be your main 4 drop. |

If you lock your opponents plot twists there is really no need for Wonder Woman cause you wouldn't be able to redirect something they can't play, and some PT aren't going to be legal targets for ability. Indulgence eliminated in the process but annoyance is still there. How about Sage as your main 3 drop with Bad Press as back-up? She works even while exhausted so in that regard she is better than RadMan. In any case if you really want to annoy your opponents win with J. Jonah Jameson. :P |

There are more than Plot Twists though that WW can redirect, location effects, character effects, equipment and equipment recruit effects. I like WW. I chose Caliban at 2 myself just to shut off the draw decks and because I can shift him on 1 if I don't see the riddler and still have a possibility of hitting both on 2. Lex has actualy been the biggest disapointment, I though he would seem more impressive somehow but he's been very lackluster, maybe I just haven't played the matches where he'll shine yet. Any other good shut-offs at 5, maybe that Mr. Sinister, anything else? |
