I love it. It forces you to play with old crappy cards that you never use anymore. It pits you against opponents with increasingly powerful decks, while your deck stays pretty crappy (by choice in my case!).

It's a great diversion when you have no real person to play with.

Only issue is a counter-intuitive resource system; making you often miss resource drops, and a really bad story mode. Also often hard to see your card, possibly the least professional card system I've seen. One would figure they would take the card display from their more recent Yugioh games (which I suprisingly prefer; as a simpler game the newer versions actually have some computer opponents with pretty good strategy).

I will also say that I found the PSP version superior to the DS, but that could just be personal preference.

It's pretty cheap now as well:

PSP £8

Nintendo DS £6

PC £7.50

Back when the servers were still running I played a lot of this game. Since the only option now is single player both my psp and pc versions are gathering dust. Although, I'm sure the next road trip I go on will see the psp copy getting some use.

The DS version is my introduction to VS System but admittedly it's not getting any playtime. I think the Nintendo servers there are still up in case anyone wanted to play.

Bumping this thread up. Is anyone still playing the DS version? I find it as an easier access than MWS on occasion so I still try to look for online opponents. Thought maybe there's like one or two that are still interested in Friend Code trading.

I don't know if you can still p2p with PSP'ss or DS's. I think the servers went down for that. Not sure though.

Hello there all

I am in landlocked Kansas and I play both the DS version and the PC version of the game.
I like it because I really didnt get into Vs and get a lot of cards. Also there was not a big face to face league in my town. I would like to get my sons playing the card version. I have started making some decks out of the Xmen starters and I have added some other cards. I might just have to work on printing proxies.

It helps on the PC version if you use the cheat to get every card.

Let me know what you think.

Luke

I think the DS servers are still up while the PC and PSP versions are dead. That's what I'm lead to believe.

If anyone wants to trade friend codes I'd be happy to pick up theirs. My friend code is in my sig.

Just wanted to get a read on how many DS players are there and how many of them still play online.

Awesome game, wish there was a newer version with more cards...

I made the brotherhood/sentinels decks and things got way too easy. Now I don't use "net decks", makes it more of a challenge.
