I've run across references to something called "Shadow Knights" but haven't found a decklist, or even a rough idea what it does. Anyone happen to know?

Yeah it runs heavy negation, I haven't seen one in a while. HomerJ might have had one laying around, but I played someone down at Game Empire I think it is in Pasadena during the Cities who ran it, I wish I could tell you what else was in it, but ...

You nailed it Kariggi.

It's basically the power of 8 hard counters (Conjuration/Bat Got Your Tongue) combined with the utility and card drawing of Gotham. It was a solid metagame choice back in the day because you could play that guy from DCX that ate Fate Artifacts, Ragman against Moloids, Batman Founding Member against Darkseid/Gotham, and had HUGE guys for the late-game win (Blue Devil, Cassandra). With the sick amount of card draw, you could even play silver bullets and get away with it.

If you look at the Silver age list of cards (2008 era) from these two sets, and compare it to the metagame at the time, it was solid stuff. You could even squeeze cards like Wonder Woman (4-DCL) and Hal (7-DCL) because Enemy was still legal.

I can dig up my old list, if you're interested?

Sure, I'd like to see it, if it's easy to find. I took a run at it last night, but found the team-up wasn't reliably happening, so I went with GK/Batman Legend. But I've wanted to try GK/Shadowpact for a long time.

The teamup is easy when you run 4x Ragman at 2. When I played it, I basically did a 4x of my primary drops, and then tried to splash the opposite team for the alts. I'll dig up the list, but my drops were usually:

1-Drop: Alfred or Xanadu (could search for Conclave, and was a safe underdrop on 2 if you knew Barb was coming)
2-Drop: Ragman (dual-affiliated, and can get big, quick for a defensive wall)
3-Drop: Barbara Gordon (best 3-drop ever)
4-Drop: June Moon, Wonder Woman, Earth-2 Batman . . .lot of metagame choices.
5-Drop: Blue Devil or 5-Drop Ragman
6-Drop: Cape and Cowl
7-Drop: I liked Hal Jordan (DCL) but Shiva was pretty good too.

Keep in mind, the list was always about being reactive (think blue-Magic), countering tutors and critical plots, eating equipment, and basically messing with the opposing strategies. With Xanadu, you could tutor for Transmutation, Magical Lobotomy, or even Spectral Slaughter for the right meta.

2x Bat Signal
2x Have a Blast

4x Wonder Woman (MVP!!!)
Thanks for posting those. Definitely different than I envisioned. Was the main point of teaming with Shadowpact here to get access to Conclave and Jared Stevens, plus the Xanadu plot twist retrival?

I looked at the approach, noted that quoted bit, then built a Gotham Batman Legend that splashes in WW on 4 and 7 instead of GK/Shadowpact. It looks better than my last Batman legend attempt. Somewhat similar approach to yours, in that there's heavy negation and lots of card draw, but mine has no team-up. No equip hate, though, other than WW.

I was expecting a Conjuration deck for some reason, or possibly stall. If anything, your decks here are more Gotham than Gotham, in a way, as you're using GK-like stuff out of Shadowpact mostly.

Did the Captain Marvel version get the alternate win to happen?

If you just want to hard negate, you can run 4x BGYT, 4x Fizzle and 4x Out of the Darkness.
