I see Penguin filling a couple of rolls in this deck. While he is essentialy a dead draw after 1, offdropping does happen even if not on purpose though if you run the 8 search likely not very often.

Even with 8 2 drops you can miss here whether you want to or not even if you mull for 2 and more likely you're mulling for 3, so he might be dropped on 2.

He can be exhausted for Criminal Mastermind.
If others follow your advice if you do hit on 1 you will likely be able to use him several times during the game since they don't have a 1 and you'll be at character advantage.
He's hidden.
He allows you to play Secret Files.
He can exhaust for Death Trap if you run that in your build.

He's not exceptional but he's on theme and can be well used, I easily see why you would run if him if you had room.

I mostly agree with Gugs on this except for Beast Boy. If this is a mono-build... then it's "mandatory" you run all on-team characters... heh.

I also find it funny that you don't run into Omni yet it's in your build.

And as Gugs says... Lex-3 is the crux... I'll underdrop him on 4 if I miss him on 3.

I had more fun playing Doom/IG though... lockdown is so frustrating for the opponent.

I do run it anyways. I just rarely see anyone else play it.

I made a couple of changes again due to your advices and some play testing.

@Guglio
Maybe(probably!) you're an expert in deck building and in Vs in general and your tips are worth a lot, but i don't like your style of helping. Do you know what Sokratic learning is? I'm a big fan of it and it means that you win nothing if you only learn by heart what others have proved to be right. I want to think about the ideas of others, adopt them or not... Maybe I'll see after a few games that you're right, but it's MY experience then and a deeper way of learning.
Nonetheless big thanks to you!

I'll comment my decisions later this day...

As in Socrates? Because there's no "k" in Socratic.

Ancient philosophers aside, running 8 search cards is pretty much the norm, especially if you want to hit a specific card by turn 3. There's no point in debating the merits of it, because if you don't, your deck will be less consistent.

I can appreciate learning things yourself, because some things you will have to tailor to your self. But experience will only take you so far in VS; math is far more important. If you need to hit Lex on 3, you should do everything you can to make it happen.

No K in socrates, but there is in Sokrates, which is how i think the greeks would translate it into english. Similary i expect sokratic can be spelt either way.

There is a "k" in the German spelling. ;-) http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sokrates

There are 8 Tutors now and 7 2-drops. 2-drop number eight is replaced by 4 1-drops, which i really want to run, because of the slight chance of hitting criminal mastermind first round or beating an opponent who missed the 1-drop. So the chance of hitting Luthor is even higher.
