I hate how the network websites block anyone from outside the US from watching online. I just tried the link and because I'm in Canada I can't see it. Boo-urns on you ABC!

i have to say i really enjoyed watching it. I went in not expecting much, and was pleasantly surprised at the effort put into the show. Nobody balks when clark kent super speed catches some falling victim. nobody asks how the victim didn't liquify into a creamy paste as body travels at ludicrous speeds.

I was pleasantly refreshed to see

I have to say, that with Smallville on it's last season, i'm hoping this can be my new Superhero fix. And as such, i enjoyed episode one of No Ordinary family moreso than the "why am i still trying to be a teen drama" Smallville.

And you nailed why I stopped watching Smallville. I got sick of the teen drama crap and just stopped watching. It also got so ridiculous the amount of Super-things Clark would do, just make him bloody Superman already if you're going to make him a superhero.

I actually hoped when Smallville came out that it would be more like Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. That show focused more on the relationship between Lois and Clark than it did on Superman, and for a show that was billed as being about Superman's life before he became Superman, I certainly wasn't expecting "Creature Feature of the Week" like Season 1 of Smallville. I stuck with the show for about 5 seasons and then lost interest. Although I hear

has been signed for some Smallville episodes for the final season, that I may have to check out.

Hatman if you are looking for Lois and Clark version 2.0 Smallville Season 10 looks to be it for the most part. No reason to hide the fact that Terri Hatcher is in fact going to be in Episode 8 this season. She will ironically be playing Lois Lane's mother.

I dunno, the whole "The Blur" thing really bugs me. I don't see why he couldn't have just evolved into Superman a few seasons ago already. Superman is supposed to be an inspiration to an entire generation of heroes, and instead it seems like in Smallville a whole pile of heroes are already running around in costume without him.

I don't think it's ironic she'll be Lois' mother, I'm sure it's entirely intentional. As I said, seeing Teri Hatcher in the Superman-verse again will probably be enough for me to catch that episode at least. I'll probably watch the series finale too, in hopes he finally dons Superman suit.

Well he already has the suit and in the season premier last week Jor-El took it from him and put it in a crystal on display. Kind of saying you haven't earned this yet and I'll give it to you when you do. I'm fairly certain we'll see ol Tom throw on the suit in the season finale. What I'm personally hoping for is that he actually wears it in the season finale instead of just throwing it on at the last second and we get 5 seconds of him in the suit. I think I'll cry with enjoyment if they actually have him wear the suit in the finale.
lol,
Kj
P.S: Michael Rosenbaum will also be back this season for an episode or two!! Which will be nice.

Okay, I hadn't heard that he's got the suit. I've seen promo shots of him wearing all black with a black trenchcoat and a white S-symbol.

My main problem with No Ordinary family was how much of a wuss they make Chiklis character, the writing was just to sappy in certain spots

Well for our 10th wedding anniversary the missus and me watched the pilot and we like it. Not blown away, but comfortably amused and entertained. There was nothing that stood out as awful unbearable or unwatchable, so next episode we'll be back for more. The Maid has approved this show for future veiwing.

The most fun part of tonight's episode for me: Seeing the dad's multiple attempts to stop a moving vehicle.

The kids were a noticeable improvement from last time, and the whole family (including mom & dad's sidekicks) were definitely enjoyable to watch. Though the rest of the families in the neighborhood and the cops were pretty mean to the mom and dad; hope those attitudes won't persist (or become a major aspect) as the show moves forward.

I dunno, the show just isn't grabbing me so far. I really want to like it; I like the concept, I love the two lead actors, but it's just not clicking for me yet.

It's not just the parents who are getting poor treatment though, the son was also getting crap from his teacher. I mean, the teacher actually said "Don't talk to me like I'm the stupid one here", and sentiments like that, multiple times.

I'm still going to give this show a chance, but I don't know how much longer I will make the extra effort to make sure I see it.

I agree it's still finding its legs, but I'm enjoying the episodes along the way so far. My rule of thumb for new shows (ones where I'm interested in the concept, characters, etc) is to give it half a dozen episodes...usually the actors will have comfortably settled into their roles by then, and the writers will have started progress on larger plot arcs, so that's when I can decide if I like what's being done or just give it a pass.
