The CDC has issued an actual statement on how to prepare for zombies. Read it here. (This is awesome marketing when you think about it.)

Proving that the CDC is useless, where are the shotguns, chainsaws, axes, and loads of ammo needed to fight off the zombies. Great I will have enough water, so that I will be moist and tender when they come to eat my flesh? |

Very good point! There should be a chainsaw buying guide and a short video on ammo conservation. |

Actually I think Walking Dead has proven the best weapon is a sharp ass samurai sword (In the comics there is a black woman who carries around a sword. She went lived by herself for like a year out in the wild;). So you need to buy one and start learning how to use it. ASAP. Although its always nice to have a sniper perched somewhere to help you out in case things get out of hand. Nothing like a mob of zombies to ruin your plans. haha, Kj |

I figured a nice tutorial on how to make weapons out of everyday household objects would be an excellent addition too. Maybe in the fashion of Ikea instructions, Step 1: Take table leg and kick it to dislodge it from table. Step 2: Drive nails into one end of table leg, but not all the way through, leaving at least 1/4 inch of nail not driven into leg. Step 3: Twist duct tape around end of table leg not adorned with nails, amking a nice grip. |

Check ...done, though I still think ranged weapon training is a plus better to never let them that close. Now what? Can Zombies climb? |

They climbed the charts back in 1968 with the hits "Time of the Season" and "She's Not There". |

One of the more interesting web novels I read on zombies was Twilight of the Dead (you can google it to read the free version). The ending got a little wonky but it made some good points about counter-zombie tactics, even using MMA moves and sword training. Just remember, you can't intimidate, scare or affect the morale of zombies... they keep coming until you dome them. |

Dead Rising 2 has a large variety of weapon combinations to be used against zombies. For instance the motocycle with double chainsaw attachments. For when you need to cut through the zombie traffic. Also, they always talk about supplies, offense. What about defense? Clothing? armor? making it so that if you are bitten, you would be harmed. Now, I know grandma's sweater is rough and scratchy, but will it stop a zombie's teeth from penetration? Where is your chainmail outfit? This is what should be kept in preparation for the zombie outbreak. You can always fasten weapons out of anything at hand, but aside from a green lantern force field, armor is the best defense. |
