Hey guys, Sorry I haven't really been around, things have been pretty busy in real life for me. I haven't even looked at VS since Griffin was born two months ago! Not only do I have a new son, I have a new job. About a month after Griffin was born I started my new job as a Regional Manager for Sport Manitoba. Basically I am a resource person for my region of the province for community sport development, and I also organize my region's team for the Manitoba Games, administer the KidSport program (charity to help kids play sports that can't afford it otherwise), and approve/deny community sports grants. It is pretty much my dream job; whenever I look at my business card I can't believe I finally work for Sport Manitoba. I've been wanting to get out of recreation for a couple of years now and get into sport, so it was pretty awesome to get this job. The pay is a lot better and so are the perks, but even if it paid the same as my last job I would've taken it! To give you an idea of how much up my alley this job is, in high school I did a survey with the guidance councilor to come up with my top 15 jobs...14 of them were sport or sport-related. Griffin's fussiest times are in the evening when I'd be hanging out here, so when he settles down some more I hope to be back regularly! I still need to see X-Men and Green Lantern too... |

Glad to hear all is well Hatman! You're surely missed, and hopefully things can settle down a bit for you soon so that you can catch up on all of your spandex-related needs

Side note from one dad to another. Vs cards break down into tiny little flakes of ink, that are nearly IMPOSSIBLE to remove, when chewed on. (Think glitter + SuperGlue). As badly as you'll want to give your son a pile of super-hero flavored cardboard, skip it, and make sure when he starts crawling, you don't leave a card or two within reach. Glad to have you back! |
