This was an enjoyable read. I wouldn't make any effort to try to say this has anything to do with VS though, however awesome it would be for them to bring us VS.

I agree.. Now that i'm totally involved in WoW, I realize that Cryptozoic knows how to run their business properly, and they have no intentions of slowing down..

Crypto is Blizzards baby though. Would they bring a competitor into the fold?

I don't buy it. Crypto is doing some layoffs, so don't expect it to really be looking at large numbers of buy-ups. Star Wars was actually similar to VS in a lot of ways; take a great license, make a complicated CCG that number-crushers go gaga over but the general public can't understand, then try not to advertise it. Resuts, sadly, are predictable... A niche game, which would work if the licensing fees weren't so high. So I doubt they resurrect either franchise.

Also, Star Wars as a license was attempted to be resed as just the engine (no Star Wars... Game was called "Wars"). It failed horribly.

Hope is that thing Pandora left locked in her box so us Gen Xers wouldn't get annoyed by it.

It definitely wouldn't be any time soon. Crypto will have to expand themselves to make something like this happen. A couple years down the road if they are growing and things are going in the right direction, I don't see purchasing the VS engine as a bad investment.. After all, business is about making profit and expansion, and that would seem like a profitable investment.

Don't you need the license from UDE first?

Yes. They would have to purchase the VS engine from UDE.

Who have said repeatedly they will not sell it. Even when asked to name their price.

Our best bet for VS Reborn is UDE's announcement in the Fall/Winter it would seem.
