Well, not a huge turnout, 6 people total. Still, AWESOME. We all had a really good time. As the tournament organizer, I didn't want to play a ridiculously good deck, but also, not total crap. So I threw something together that seemed fun and kinda good. I'll post my list soon. AlphaSilvr won with his Equipment based deck, kinda relies on Hank Pym, Iron Man and a ton of equipments. He'll post his decklist soon also. Dellbon took 2nd, running Alpha Society. I think the guy who took 3rd may be posting his decklist, he ran kind of a Checkmate/Raid |

here is the deck list for the deck i ran in the tourney. it was an alpha society variation. Alpha Society Characters: (29) 2 Charaxes, Moth monster 3 Aurora, Jeanne-Marie Beubier 3 Dr. Sivana 3 Floronic Man, Jason Woodrue 3 Julia Carpenter <> Arachne, Omega Flight 4 John Walker <> US Agent, Omega Flight 1 Sinestro, Yellow Lantern 1 Fatality, Okaaran Warrior 3 Black Manta, Underwater Marauder 1 Sasquatch, Walter Langkowski – Omega Flight 1 Weapon Omega, Michael Pointer – Omega Flight 1 Mr. Freeze, Cold Blooded 1 Beta Ray Bill, Simon Walters – Omega Flight 1 Doomsday, Engine of Destruction 1 Darkseid, Dark God Plot Twists: (25) 3 Alpha Flight Reborn 1 Mobilize 4 Straight to the Grave 1 Only Human 4 Path of Destruction 2 Heroic Effort 1 Cover fire 1 Endgame 4 Forbidden Loyalties, Team-up 2 Omega Flight, Team-up 2 Press The Attack Locations: (8) 3 Remote Facility, Non-Unique 3 Construction site 1 Hidden HQ 1 Gorilla City Total 62 Cards really fun deck that has lots of shenanigans to abuse. the classic construction site and path of destruction combo is always fun and only human plus black manta helps make five an easier round if on defense. i'll post the list for the green lantern deck my friend Matt borrowed from me for the event as well. It will be little later when i have time to break that one down and get card count. but it was a great event! it's always fun playing with new players. Hopefully we can get the rest of our lazy friends to come |

Here is my deck: Knowledge is Power By: AlphaSilvr Characters: 4x Ape X, Xina 2x Wyatt Wingfoot, Keewazi Adventurer 2x Human Torch, Johnny Storm 2x Mr. Fantastic, Reed Richards 2x Mandarin, Tem Borjigin 2x Hank Pym <> Giant Man, Big Brain 2x Sub-Mariner, Namor 2x Mr. Fantastic, Dimensional Explorer 1x Iron Man, Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. 1x Thing, The Ever-Lovin' Blue-Eyed Thing Plot Twists: 4x Losing the Argument 4x Salvage 1x Thinking Outside the Box 2x Rise from the Grave 4x Savage Beatdown Location: 2x New Baxter Building 1x Battleworld 1x Dr. Fate's Tower Equipment: 10x The Ten Rings 1x Amulet of Nabu, Fate Artifact 1x Cloak of Nabu, Fate Artifact 1x Helm of Nabu, Fate Artifact 1x Ego Gem, Infinity Gem 1x Mind Gem, Infinity Gem 1x Power Gem, Infinity Gem 1x Reality Gem, Infinity Gem 1x Space Gem, Infinity Gem 1x Soul Gem, Infinity Gem 1x Time Gem, Infinity Gem 1x The Infinity Gauntlet Unfortunately, I found out this morning that one of my cards got mixed in an opponent's casual deck in a game we played before we started, so without realizing it I was playing with a 59 card deck. :( It does run really well though. Most games I had most of my deck in my hand by turn 5-6 anyway. :P |

Biderman will have any reports. But since our group was small we didn't play for prizes. (We didn't pay in either) We played to have fun. |

Well, top 4 (out of 6): AlphaSilvr 1st Place, 3-1 Knowledge is Power Dellbon 2nd Place, 3-1 Alpha Society Mike 3rd Place, 2-2 Checkmate Raid Biderman 4th Place, 2-2 Lost Gotham Inmates We ran out of time, so missed the final round, but broke it down this way since AlphaSilvr won against Dellbon, and Mike won against me. Because we had such a small turnout, the store said we could just play there without paying. They still got money from us buying drinks and snacks, and I also gave them a custom Yugioh playmat for letting us use their place. I figure, if we can get at least 8 people, then I'd change up to a paid tournament. I'm always willing to throw in prize support out of my own pocket if someone was really expecting it. I'll post my decklist later this afternoon Edited by Biderman, May 20 2012, 09:40 PM.
