I could potentially make a DC Megaweekend. Wouldn't want to do Richmond though. Any weekend is good as long as I know which one several weeks in advance. I would be fine without prize support, I really can't spend $ on VS. Generally speaking though, I'd want to see attendance at least in the 10-12 player range in order to make the trip down. Hope that helps!

This sounds fantastic, I want this to happen very badly, now as far as format goes, we should do something that everyone can easily do. I would personally prefer golden age seeing as how the decks I have are golden age decks, but I'm down for whatever, I can help with some kind of prize support what are we thinking for that? And as far as the weekend in question, any weekend works for me

Richmond really does work better for my play group or at least not in the city of D.C. Also, i was thinking that for the first VA area tournament it might be easier to just do a single day event to feel out how many people we're getting, what people want to do, etc. That being said if someone plans something i'll do my best to get myself and my group up there for as much of it as we can do. Honestly though we will probably only be able to come up for a day not a whole weekend as a couple people will have work. For format i've always loved BYOT and BYOTT and draft/sealed is fun too! My group and I will be willing to drop at least a little bit of money for prize support. Bottom line is, lets get this rolling and I'll help out as much as possible. [grin]

only two votes, and a few comments? If this is going to happen I need to know at least 15-20 people can make it.. I'd prefer 20+ people, but I don't wanna push my luck.. I can definitely arrange for a place just outside of DC, heck even on the VA side of DC, I just need to know how many people would be interested and if anyone has some kind of prize support...

perhaps you should have added a specific regional pointer in the title. there are other mega wekeends around, but if you dont point people in the heading, they will get lost...

Ok, so with your two groups and my group, that's approximately 15 people. That's a good start. Now who would be up for a sealed/draft tourney, and what set(s) would you prefer?

It would have to be a sealed friendly set that's for sure

Id propose some sort of constructed tournament that has a top 8 draft and then a side event of sealed/draft of maybe a cheaper set for those who don't make it. Plus you can do all that in 1 day! :)
