I was piddling around cleaning out a closet and found a huge box of Green Lantern. I decided then to build a Gl deck with the newer cards and see what sticks to the wall. After muddling around I came up with a cool Gnort/Arisia deck that utilized A Clash of worlds to put out multiple of the said characters. it really was fun on turn 4 having 3 gnorts out and making my Tomar Tu a 6/5 and with Arisia out Swinging for 8. It just can't seam to get it to be consistent. here is what i got so far. 1's 4-Gnort 4-Arisia 2's 4-Tomar tu 4-kyle raynor 4-Olepet 4's 4-Kyle raynor 4- Ring has Chosen 4-Origin Story 4-Straight to the grave 4-Messiah Complex 3-Book of Oa 1-ego gem need help and criticism. |

Looks like a fun idea. Also noticing how Olapet can boost for a character already on board is pretty cool with clash plays. I'd add a copy of a 1 drop of any kind in case of olapet boost with no clash. Birthing Chamber seems pretty easy to get off with an Olapet play. Seems like you need a way to push damage on turns 3-5 since thats the earliest you can push any damage. Maybe play some X-Babies Attack, Light Armors, No Fear, or Overwhelming Odds? |

Two problems with consistency that I see: 4 copies each of not many characters, and your search engine doesn't have much or any synergy with the team. I have decks sort of like this, and generally what works for me is to have four copies of the key characters and then one copy each of a bunch of characters that are worth the recruit cost. In my JSA/GCPD deck, there are four each of the two Mr Terrifics and Oracle, a bunch of cops, and a whole bunch of one-offs. (Actually, teaming with JSA just to get the Terrifics in here might be pretty entertaining, since you're going upcurve..) So first I'd open it up a bit with more one-offs so you're able to recruit effectively on turns without Clash of Worlds. Keep Gnort, Arisia, Olapet at 4, maybe turn the many copies of Kyle and the other 2-drop into 12 unique characters. SttG/Messiah Complex works great in decks that already work with the KO pile, but it's hard going with a deck that doesn't. If you don't get any MC, SttG does you no good (unless I'm missing something). This looks like a good application for Willworld. I used to play against a GL swarm deck. I remember Cover Fire and 6-drop Sinestro being pretty obnoxious, so consider those. Also, I often had problems getting through the reinforcement, so maybe Catcher's Mitt would help too. |

Vicarious Living. This deck needs four of it. |

Sorry to misconstrue the deck a bit. the cards I listed were the "main" parts of the deck that I was using everytime, but adding in other cards from various other sets to get it to 60. I think Cover Fire plus a bunch of ranged one-ofs would be great. I figured it could also just curve out 5-8ish with Katma, Sinestro, Guy, Mogo. Come to think about it adding in Guy at 3 and 5 and clashing him would be kinda cool. |

I would try running Dr. doom 3 drop and superhuman registration act. The latter for that extra card drawing you need and to team up easily for good non green-lanter aditions like fatality, faith or henry king jr. And the former to get you that clash of worlds, SHRA, or some other gap. Edited by Moroko, Sep 12 2012, 06:18 PM.
