If one were running a Marvel Defenders deck, and that deck has the 5 drop Deadpool with the Sinister Syndicate/Marvel Defenders affiliations. If Forced Allegiance is played prior to Deadpool coming out, how does it affect the ability to recruit Dadpool? Does it negate Dual Loyalty?
This is something that just came up this last weekend at a VS get together here and we don't know the answer. Thanks.

The text of forced C would be nice but I'll try this from memmory.

Gain affl X lose all others...

To answer your question it appears No, you need to control characters with both affl for dual and you'll only have one of those affl now because of forced so you won't be able to recruit a dual loyalty character.

Hope that helps let us know if you need more.

Kariggi is correct. Forced Allegiance removes all affiliations and gives only the one named. Dual-Loyalty requires that you have BOTH affiliations in play to recruit.

To play, choose an affiliation among characters you control. <p> Ongoing: Affiliated characters you control lose all affiliations and gain the chosen affiliation.
Barring any other team-ups your characters will only have one affiliation so kariggi and Alpha are right that you won't meet the requirements of Dual Loyalty, but it's also worth noting is that Loyalty and Dual Loyalty are actually very different things.

Loyalty

Loyalty is a keyword that represents a continuous power that functions in any zone the character card can be recruited from, normally the hand zone. The keyword "Loyalty" means "Recruit only if you control a character that shares at least one affiliation with this card."

Dual Loyalty

"Dual Loyalty" is a keyword that represents a continuous power that functions in any zone a card can be recruited from. The keyword "dual loyalty" means, "Recruit this card only if both its printed affiliations are among the affiliations of characters you control."
This means that cards like Crisis on Infinite Earths and Underground Movement which give all the characters you own an affiliation will let you recruit any character with Loyalty so long as you control a character. However, because of Dual Loyalty's requirement based on printed affiliations they won't help you meet those requirements.
