Baltimore Mega-Tournament
Facebook Event
Feel free to join the Facebook Event, and talk about deck ideas, or ask questions there.

Format:
Dual-Legend
Each deck must contain EXACTLY 12 cards that are or reference each legend, NO MORE, NO LESS, NO OVERLAPPING (ex. Bosom Buddies counts as either Cable or Deadpool, but not both)

FAQ

The reason for the limit on the number of Legend cards is so that decks like Spider-Clones, and Crisis Doom wouldn't over run the tournament, and allow for more creative things to be played.

Identity "Legends", such as Flash, CAN be used as your Legend in the Dual Legend format.

For Dual Legend, NO MORE THAN 4 of your "Legend" cards can be the same army card. This is to prevent Moloids-type things, and so people won't pick an army character as their "Legend".

Omnipotence banning is so that every deck isn't FORCED to play resource row hate cards, just to operate their deck. Having a card that shuts down "Legends" in a "Legend" format just seems like asking for trouble.

Banned Cards:
Post-UDE ban and errata list applies
Blink, Earth-295 / Clarice Ferguson
Omnipotence

As before, the council sets will not be allowed. All UDE set will be legal for this tournament.

Date:
Saturday, October 5th, 2013
Registration starts at 11AM, and the Tournament will begin promptly at 12PM. Pre-Registration is encouraged and will make the process easier and faster. For Pre-Reg, PM me starting in June.

Location:
Games and Stuff
7385 Baltimore Annapolis Blvd
Glen Burnie, MD 21061
(410) 863-7418
www.gamesandstuffonline.com

Prize Support:
T2-4 will get custom playmats, designed by the winner of the Tournament.
Number of playmats will be determined by number of entrants
Additional prize support has yet to be determined.

Again, I am going to be TO/Judge, however I am also going to be playing in the tournament. If there are any problems with that, please let me know ASAP and I'll try to get someone to co-TO/co-judge.

curious question: can we use custom made cards? one of my friends is learning the art of custom making cards, and i was curious as to how anyone would feel if I, or someone else decided to use them for the tourny. nothing illegal, like from the fan made sets, but something that we all know.

Some or all cards in your deck? Seems like a issue if only some of the cards since custom cards generally are thinker than a normal card and even foils.

some. no way i would do all. 8 at most.

Edit: if some are custom, and others arent, it would throw off how the deck works i think. would i have to do them all?

I'd suggest just keep however many copies of those custom cards you actually run in your deck box sleeved in a different color so there is no confusion.

When you actually play a character or flip an ongoing/location in your row which is the card in question just swap it out with the custom copy if you want your prettier custom version to look at while you are playing.

Can also give your opponent some input into this as well as some opponents may be picky about what is on your field. Not that it is going to happen but you don't want to hear anyone complaining about "I made play mistake X and attacked that guy because I didn't realize it was character Y because of the different art".

This seems like the best option. Build the deck with normal copies of the cards and bring the custom one with you. If your opponent has no objections, swap out the card for the custom version when you play it.

So dual-legend requires that you have 12 cards for each legend (including the legend itself), totaling 24 cards?

So I could build a deck that utilizes only Magneto and Wolverine and Lost City and just run over people?

That is probably a very viable option.. If you can consistently get lost city...

Lost City is never my issue when I try and make a deck that run another affiliation to take advantage of it...it's the team-up lol No matter if I run 20 team-ups, I always seem to get it too late in the game. I also have a Lost City Kang deck, but I don't think Kang has enough "legend" support?
