SEPTA Strike 2016

So as we all know, the TWU 234 has gone on strike as of 12:01 on November 1st, 2016.

This means no service on SEPTA routes 1-89, H, XH, J, K, L, R, Broad Street Line, and Market Frankford Line. Until a contract between TWU 234 and SEPTA is reached.

Based on what many press conferences have revealed, it may take a while before that happens.

Contrary to popular believe, this does not mean SEPTA is completely down for the count, as routes 90-310, LUCY, and all regional rail lines are still operating. However due to belonging to conflicting unions, a vast majority of bus routes that are currently operating cannot enter the city service zone Because of this, Regional rail and LUCY service is the only way to travel in the city

Here's a snippet containing details about the modified bus :bus: service.

The strike has ended as of 5:30 this morning, and service is slowly resuming. The union has a new 5 year contract
