THE NORTHERN LANDS - IZAR
There is a number of races (or ‘Bloods’, as Izarians say) that inhabit the Northern Lands.

HUMANS
The Blood of Men
Nobody knew exactly where did humans first appear, or how they were created, but this extremely adaptive Blood have certainly adapted to life in Izar. Izarian humans are largely categorized into two kinds - Children of Ice and Children of rocks.

CHILDREN OF ICE
The Children of Ice have adapted through biological changes, giving them extremely pale complexion and small but metabolically efficient bodies that allows them to somehow naturally defend against the cold, even to the point of making them ‘cold-proof’. These humans were one of the last to adopt Edenean technologies during the Age of Peace, as they were the most isolated of the Humans. Traditional stereotypes show Children of Ice to be as cold as their name, yet highly confident (most likely to the fact that they have actually grown to ‘live in an inhumane place’), but in reality they are just as uncertain as the other kinds of Humans.

CHILDREN OF ROCK
The Children of Rock, unlike the Children of Ice, first adapted to the cold surroundings by utilizing the abundant Flame Ore found in the region to create man-made heat. This later became the beginning of Metallurgy, which then develops to become one of the most important technological advances during the history of Genesis. Labour works is a norm with these Humans, giving them much taller and larger bodies than the petite Children of Ice (from all the humans, they are the tallest) after years of adapting to the heavy, heat-rich culture. Their cold resistance is definitely higher than Western or Eastern Humans, but they are still leagues away from the Children of Ice in the department.

DWARVES
The Blood of Mountains
Dwarves are one of the natives of Izar, which had been living for ages under the mountain cliffs. These dwarves are notably smaller than Humans ( The tallest Dwarf ever recorded in the modern history of Genesis was just as tall as a Child of Ice teenager, which was not very tall.), but their spirits are certainly not as short as their physique. The traditional stereotype of Dwarves picture them as small-sized bundles of hard work, ambition and dedication, but it’s not hard to find one or two dwarves that wouldn’t lift pickaxes for an entire bag of gold coins.

HOWLERS
The Blood of Moonlight
Once thought to be one of the many savage wildlifes of Izar, Howlers are in fact intelligent beings with their own form of civilization. Another term for the Howlers, coined by an Edenean explorer who once entered their dwelling, was ‘Werewolves’.

In reality, these magnificent creatures are nowhere as savage and brutal than actual Werewolves (which do exist in the Northern Lands, as well as in the Eastern Shores); the Howlers look a lot like Humans, but their most prominent features are their bushy, wolf-like tail and their wolf-like ears. They are typically as tall as the Children of Rock - some even taller - and it is said that they can transform into wolves, although not many people have actually seen this happen. They are widely known to be proud and arrogant creatures (they say the pride of a Howler is how beautiful its tail is), but just like most other stereotypes, it is certainly not hard to find Howlers that would rather hide their tail than show it off and risking getting their tail cut by black traders. Howlers are also known to be proficient hand-to-hand fighters with more power than they seem to have.

THE EASTERN SHORES - TIMUR
Like in Izar, there are some races that live in (not complete) harmony in this lush land of four seasons.

HUMANS
The humans of Timur are a lot different than Izarian Humans, in the way that they are larger than Children of Ice, but much smaller than Children of Rock. Most Timurian Humans have adapted to live in the varying environments, with bodies just small enough to traverse easily through various landscapes, but large enough to scale the trees and climb mountain cliffs, as they are not nearly as agile as Children of Ice. Timurian Humans are also categorized into two kinds.

ORIGINS
Said by some to be the ‘original’ Human, the Origins have enjoyed an elevated status amongst the humans, mostly due to the diminishing number of pure-blooded Origins. Some have said that Origins are probably the weakest kind of Human, due to the lack of adaptive abilities that is often blamed at their ‘unique’ genes. However, lack of changes in pure-blooded Origins also mean that they retain the magical capacity that all Humans were once blessed with, making Origins (theoretically) the strongest kind of Human in terms of pure magical powers.

The only reason there are little to no Origins in Izar is exactly caused by this lack of biological adaptive abilities, which not only prevents them from spreading to Izar - it is deemed stupid for Origins to ever try to live indefinitely in regions as cold as Izar, risking extreme cold, frostbite, and even death. It certainly haven’t stopped everyone from trying to do so…

CHILDREN OF EARTH
The dominating kind in Timur, the Children of Earth is a collective term to describe the Humans who have adapted to various living conditions throughout Timur. Each regions have their own ‘specific terms’ (The Children of Earth in the Manoa Forests, for example, are also known as Tree Dwellers), but in general, Children of Earth are especially noted for their fast adaptive abilities. Due to the friendlier environment of Timur, Children of Earth looks closer to the Origins than their Izarian counterparts, but usually their skin is visibly darker than the typical Origins. Their magick capabilities is not as large as Origins, but their physical prowess is certainly more visible in particular departments, depending on which regions they come from.

ELVES
Elves are said to be one of the first inhabitants of Genesis, assigned by The Mourning Creator Herself to become the protector of nature. They are known to be beautiful, regardless of their gender, and they are the longest living race on Genesis, living up to one to two thousand years as opposed to Humans, whose record was only a puny two hundred years. Their most prominent feature is their sharp ears, which they share with no other race.

Despite their beauty, elves are known to be fierce fighters, extremely agile in the forests and capable of maneuvers unimaginable by Humans. Both female and male elves are often seen in military operations, but higher ranks are usually held by females, as the elven society puts women on the top.

HALFLINGS
Interspecies marriages are not uncommon throughout Genesis, but in Timur, due to the proliferation of ancient magicks and encouragement of interspecies mingling, this fact is more common than in anywhere else. Halflings are the offsprings of two different species of any kind who often have the traits and qualities of both their parents. These species include humans and elves, as well as the less common catpaws and harpies, among others.

Most halflings are considered the same with the other species in Timur, but in other continents they more often than not suffer from discrimination, being considered a 'subspecies' by many.

THE WESTERN LIGHTS - EDEN
As the central of technological advances Eden is the melting pot where the three diverse societies meet. The majority of the more well-off residents of Eden came from Timurian human ancestry, and these people make up most of the society's higher ups.

Halflings are often less fortunate in the sense that they often become the target of racial discrimination and bullying, even though there is a small number that escapes this fate through a way and another.

Elves and dwarves are rarely seen outside their home enclaves, but the very few who make it to Eden usually manage to live quite well. Howlers however, categorized by many into the same pool as halflings, often become the target of Edenian arrogance and the few who are forced to leave their home in Izar usually meet less than fortunate endings in Eden.
