It appears this one went under the radar, but following WrestleMania 31 a few weeks ago the WWE has created a new Grand Slam Championship. This is obviously due to the fact that for all but a handful of Attitude Era veterans on the roster, the previous Grand Slam Championship is unobtainable with no tertiary title since 2002 (those being the European and Hardcore Championships).

To obtain the new Grand Slam Championship, a superstar must win all main show male Championships in their current incarnations:

WWE Championship OR WWE Universal Championship
This is listed as the WWE Championship belt as used by the company since its creation in 1963. It does NOT include the World Heavyweight Championship or any variation previous (I.E. World Title, WCW Championship etc.), which briefly joined the WWE Title as a 2-belt prize for whoever was the WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

Alternatively, they can win the WWE Universal Championship, established and recognised as a World Title on 25th July, 2016.

WWE Intercontinental Championship
This is listed as the WWE Intercontinental Championship belt as used by the company since its creation in 1979. It is the only Championship belt with no ambiguity in regards to history.

WWE United States Championship
This is listed as the United States Championship since WWE took ownership of WCW on-screen on March 26th, 2001. This includes anyone who was WCW Champion between March 26th, 2001-November 18th, 2001 when the belt was retired, and anyone who has been WWE United States Champion since its first champion on July 27th, 2003.

WWE Raw Tag Team Championship OR WWE SmackDown Live Tag Team Championship
This is listed as the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship that was originally created for the SmackDown Tournament run in late 2002, and declared its first champions on October 20th, 2002. This does NOT include the World Tag Team Championship (Retired 2010), which had been the previous WWE/F Tag Team Championship.

Alternatively they can win the WWE SmackDown Live Tag Team Championship, established on August 23rd, 2016.

With this, there are currently twelve New Grand Slam Champions:
1. Kurt Angle (October 20th, 2002 - WWE Tag Team Championship)
2. Eddie Guerrero (February 15th, 2004 - WWE World Heavyweight Championship)
3. Edge (January 8th, 2006 - WWE World Heavyweight Championship)
4. Big Show (April 1st, 2012 - WWE Intercontinental Championship)
5. The Miz (July 23rd, 2012 - WWE Intercontinental Championship)
6. Daniel Bryan (March 29th, 2015 - WWE Intercontinental Championship)
7. Chris Jericho (January 9th, 2017 - WWE United States Championship)
8. Dean Ambrose (August 20th, 2017 - WWE Raw Tag Team Championship)
9. Roman Reigns (November 20th, 2017 - WWE Intercontinental Championship)
10. Randy Orton (March 11th, 2018 - WWE United States Championship)
11. Seth Rollins (April 8th, 2018 - WWE Intercontinental Championship)
12. Jeff Hardy (April 16th, 2018 - WWE United States Championship)
Those in bold are also Grand Slam Champions under the old requirements.

The New Grand Slam Championship became active on March 30th, 2015 - the day after Daniel Bryan achieved the feat, and originally featured just six superstars.

In regards to the Old Grand Slam Championship, only 12 men ever accomplished the feat: Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Kane, Chris Jericho, Kurt Angle, Eddie Guerrero, Rob Van Dam, Booker T, Jeff Hardy, JBL, Christian & Big Show.

Of those 12, Chris Jericho & Jeff Hardy are the only two men to have held every single championship eligible for the old Grand Slam Championship - however Christian - were he to come out of retirement - is still able to match this achievement if he was to win the two missing titles from his list, which are still currently active today.

With Jericho & Jeff Hardy winning the New Grand Slam Championship, to repeat this feat they both require a Universal Championship, as well as a SmackDown Live Tag Team Championship.

Current Superstars requiring one Championship
John Cena - Intercontinental Championship
Kane - United States Championship
Kevin Owens - Tag Team Championship
Kofi Kingston - WWE/Universal Championship
Sheamus - Intercontinental Championship
Triple H - United States Championship
Zack Ryder - WWE/Universal Championship

If the source of this is WWE then it should be a sign that they are not planning on unifying the IC and US titles.

I think beating John Cena cleanly should be taken into consideration when coming up with Grand Slam Champions from now on -- since it's arguably even more prestigious than winning the main Title Belt itself.

Congratulations Chris Jericho - his United States Championship victory over Roman Reigns makes him the seventh entry to the New Grand Slam Championship list, and the fourth man to do the double.

Congratulations to Dean Ambrose - the first man from The Shield to achieve the goal following his Raw Tag Team Title victory at SummerSlam, making him the eighth on this new Grand Slam Champions list.

Roman Reigns becomes the 2nd member of The Shield to do the Grand Slam, and third overall this year alone, after beating The Miz for the Intercontinental Championship.

Welcome to Christmas. Which, when working in a small company with stupendous amounts of orders (already, in November) means little rest time.

Don't ask about the few months prior though. Y'know, totally not laziness on my part...
