I liked that ending to the triple threat match a lot. Whether it turns into a Joe-Zayn match for the #1 contender or a triple threat title match, I don't care. I'm pulling for the triple threat match because instead of Balor losing in some way book it so either Joe or Zayn get pinned and Balor can get called onto Raw/SD having never been pinned or submitted to lose the championship. He can get the rematch, but Kevin Owens, the guy Balor beat to win the title, interferes to make sure he doesn't win the title back to set up Balor's first feud in WWE. And all that starts because of good booking that we saw on NXT last night. Also, the double submission I don't think I've ever seen before. I may have but don't remember anyway, I thought it was cool. |

Apparently Hideo Itami has had complications recovering from his shoulder surgery, and is ''nowhere close'' to being able to return (according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter). |

He will. There will always be a role for him in NXT and NXT is always in need of stars. If you look at most of the top guys in NXT, Balor, Joe, Zayn, Crews... these are guys that are talented enough to be on the main roster right now, but when they look at Tyler Breeze on Smackdown or Main Event, they all are probably like, "Hey guys, no rush on that main roster callup okay" |

Well seeing that Joe and Zayn are likely on their way to the main roster, maybe Itami will have somewhere. I can't see Sampson's gimmick drifting on NXT for too long, amiright? Alex Riley may be kept around... Sorry, having random thoughts right now |

Elias Sampson's gimmick feels like some character I'd see in Walking Dead, only, he's no fun to watch. He's clearly supposed to be a heel, but he can't just keep beating jobbers, he needs a feud. He's either going to be a heel jobber or a heel star, and I can't see him working as a heel star. I think "The Drifter" is drifting his way onto the unemployment couch with WOTUWWEv's own Drifty. I think this new Alex Riley is the most interesting he's ever been. Yeah, he's basically a clone of Triple H from 1999 w/o the DX crew, but I think if the cards are played right, he could be an NXT championship contender. It's not too late for Riley, and for those that say yes it is, I implore you to look at Mizak Henry circa 2011. The Hall of Pain was his best run ever and that came some 15 years after he debuted. I think Balor is more likely heading to the main roster along with Bayley come Mania time. Joe, Aries, and Asuka are NXT mainstay's, I just don't think their talent would be treated well or appreciated on Monday nights as opposed to Wednesday's. Asuka might not even be around past Summerslam. I wouldn't be surprised to find out that she only signed a one year deal last year and that she'll drop the women's title to Eva Marie around the night before SummerSlam. I'll say if you want to watch Asuka in NXT at a live show, then the best time to do that is between April and August. I may even drive a couple hours to an NXT show with an Asuka match on the card during that time. She's my favorite women's wrestler and has been for the better part of 5 years now.
