With Orton's victory, the trend of unsatisfying Rumble victors continues for yet another year. *sigh*

Fun fact: I'm wearing my Tye Dillinger shirt tonight
and T-Unit is wearing his John Cena shirt. ;)
And let's not forget my brand new APA shirt.

I'm just gonna wait until Vince slips in the shower and breaks his Life Alert to start watching the Rumble Match again. We seriously need to turn the tv off when Roman is on it. The fans need to stop making noise all together when he is in a match or trying to do a promo. Vince will never get it until then.

Cena blew my mind tonight. His expressions and aggression worked so well with AJ. Unfortunately, we will be stuck with Cena facing people that he has faced way too many times now and will return to being universally hated as a result. After tonight, Smackdown has become completely unwatchable. I won't even record it because I don't want them to get a single solitary millionth of a point from me. Not to say Raw is any better, but damn. This company is dog sh*t.

The only other person besides Dean Ambrose that just flat out bores the hell out of me is Randy Orton, with Wyatt a close third. I wish I could say that I was shocked that Vince is building another Wrestlemania Main Event around someone who has done it 3 God Damn Times already, but it doesn't. I seriously think Vince is afraid of his own creation. He has to blur out blood and middle fingers from his own product on his own network that will have smaller numbers after tonight. He has to go. A part of me was hoping the Clown who sticks it into Noelle Foley would jump up and win it after I saw the Final 4.

I was upset yesterday when I decided I have to cancel my Network Subscription due to financial hardship, but now, I wish I could cancel it twice. Unbelievable. Jericho got robbed again in a match that was massively disappointing. No Samoa Joe, Kurt Angle, or Finn Balor.

That's 7 now, everyone. The last 7 Rumbles have been absolute crap. Orton, Triple H, Roman, Batista, Cena, Sheamus, and Del Rio. I seriously question why I even bother.

The difference here is John Cena is actually trying to be more entertaining and have a better legacy (no pun intended) for his career. The 5 moves of doom was Cena for years and then he started doing more and more and now we've got Cena doing these great matches with guys and you know what? For as much as I hate the same god damn promo Cena does, I'm loving watching his matches.

Hopefully what we're going to see from this is more of that angry John Cena we saw in the Styles match. I want to see that Cena transition to talking on the mic and we got that last week on Smackdown, unfortunately it was on AJ and AJ didn't say a damn thing to rebut it, and it was great. Sure, it was harsh, but I rather like hearing Cena say harsh stuff because harsh feels real.

Orton on the other hand... he seems so tame in comparison to what he use to be. His matches never stand out anymore, his promos are all the same, his attitude shows that he doesn't mind going through the motions, but that's the problem: Orton is just going through the motions. He doesn't try to evolve, he doesn't try to make himself more entertaining. Orton is basically a parent gimmick to Corbin's Lone Wolf gimmick; the tough guy who doesn't say much and gets by with being tough. Okay, that works for a while, but Orton's been around so damn long that I don't care and honestly, I can't think of anything he's done to illicit a reaction out of me since the beginning of the Authority in 2013.

Orton needs to look at Cena at try to find some fuel to ignite the fire in him because there's no fire in Orton anymore and I'm not just saying that because he's in the Wyatt Family now, Orton just plain hasn't stood out for years and every time I look at him I say, "This use to be the Legend Killer, the guy with IED disorder, the guy that assaulted Cena's dad, the guy that use to punt people."

If Cena is still champion come Wrestlemania and it's him and Orton, I will lose it. Actually, WWE will lose me because I can't be bothered to bother with this company anymore. I would like to see Cena be more aggressive in his promos, but I can't be excited or interested in a Orton vs Cena title match at Mania. Enough.

We'll see what happens over the next two months, but just for WWE to put itself and the fans in the position for another Cena-Orton feud is pathetic.

As for Vince himself, this guy is worse for WWE business than Ted Turner ever was. I am looking back at having Roman go out at 30 and with all the times Roman has been recieved negatively, Vince still sent him out there. Did Vince sit backstage and say, "Oh, this time it's gonna be different because Roman got screwed by Strowman."

No, it was to troll the audience because Vince legit enjoys using Roman as his personal Troll. Back when the Detroit Pistons were a championship basketball team, they had a tall white guy called Darko Milicic who was a European sensation, but the only times he ever got to play was when the Pistons were up 30 points in the 4th Quarter. They called Darko the "Human Victory Cigar" and guess what? Roman Reigns is Vince's "Human Middle Finger." When Vince wants to put that finger up and not get fined by the FCC, he books Roman Reigns in spots where people will resent it the most.

Yeah, there's still a plan to get Roman over as the big babyface, but it's not the central plot in WWE at the moment, it's more like an important sidequest in an RPG that has some sweet loot once the quest is over.

They seem to want to build up to a Roman vs Undertaker match at Mania and that has dud and disaster written all over it. It may be Taker's last match, and Taker himself may say in the build up that it's his "Last Ride" but this match is not going to be good and it's not something I want to see even if it's just for posterity reasons and for lasting memories of the Undertaker and his career.

Taker can end HBK's career and that was a fitting end, but Roman can't end Taker's career.

To bring it back to the Rumble, I blame all of this on Vince McMahon. Vince use to book good Rumbles, they use to be fun and have great finishes. He doesn't know how to book the Rumble anymore because he's out of touch and it appears that Wrestlemania is going to be as bland as it was last year, if not worse.

I don't watch Raw or SD anymore, I work at night, so WWE's already losing my view there, but were this another time, I'd find a way to watch it so I didn't miss anything. The way it appears to me, and I'm leaving the women out of this because they are consistently some of the most interesting parts of both shows, is I'm not missing anything because it's all shit that I've seen before.

Every January, Vince must be Vitamin D deficient due to his lack of sunlight and completely fucks everything up. By all accounts, Smackdown was doing well the last several months with AJ as champion. I understand that can't last forever and the Orton-Wyatt angle needs to have some sort of payoff, but you could have done things different. You could have sent Joe out there and won the Rumble and created a huge star that requires minimal booking and creative effort. Instead, it's the same old shit and because it's always the same old shit this time of year, I really see no reason to watch another Rumble match until Vince is no longer running things and I concur that the only way to deal with the way Roman is booked is to not watch him.

I can do that and it'll be easy to do with the Undertaker because the Undertaker looks like an old man with his hobble, slow and weak punches, his receded hairline, his beer gut, and general oldness.

I agree with almost everything you said. The exception is that Orton has been boring since he became The Viper. His snake-like expressions and movements turned him into a full-blown gimmick like Doink the Clown. Do you remember his promos and matches from when he was The Legend Killer? He was fantastic. It's like the more ink he got, the worse his promos got. I can think of maybe one promo of his that didn't put me to sleep since probably 2008, and it has to be a promo about Brock Lesnar during the build to SS.

And before someone rips into me about it, name one good match Orton has had in the last 10 years that was a result of Orton's work(without it just being an RKO) and not because of his opponent, that isn't Orton vs Rollins from WM 31. He's stale. He's slow. He's boring. He does nothing but a random RKO during a match. Get rid of the stupid Viper gimmick, that ear-molesting crap from Rev Theory, and make him a bad ass again. Then, and only then, should he be winning Rumble Matches and feuding for Championships.

I'm not sure I've ever been as disinterested in the Rumble come day of as I am this year. WWE has done an absolute number slowly killing this event over the past several years...
Im the opposite. I haven't been as interested in a long time. This is one of the most unpredictable years in recent memory.
But to answer your question you didn't ask, this year's Rumble serves as a prime example of why, even with it being unpredictable, I still can't get excited for this event anymore. Because even if the actual winner wasn't predictable, what WAS predictable was that WWE would surely find a way to royally fuck it all up.

I'm in the camp who says they'll never be interested in this show again until Vince steps down.

That explains why all we saw of Henry's entrance was him coming out and getting into the ring. I thought a fan had hopped a barricade.

Why even set it up for there to be a long walkway to the ring like it's Wrestlemania or something on a show where half the roster is expected to run to the ring at some point? :?
