 205 Live Preview: December 19, 2017 Hideo Itami made his debut on Raw, teaming up with his longtime friend Finn Bálor, defeating The Miztourage and showing the WWE Universe what he is capable of inside the ring. Tonight, the Japanese Superstar will look to build on his momentum by making his highly-anticipated WWE 205 Live debut. Cedric Alexander sets his sights on WWE Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore. Last night on Raw, Cedric Alexander accomplished his goal of earning an opportunity to challenge Enzo Amore for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. After winning the “Second Chance” Fatal 4-Way last week on Raw, Alexander faced The Certified G’s closest ally, Drew Gulak, in a fast-paced and hard-hitting contest that saw the Charlotte, N.C.-native secure his victory with a wicked Lumbar Check. Laser-focused on winning the WWE Cruiserweight Championship, Alexander poses a major threat to The Realest Champ in the Room. As evidenced during the match when he left the commentary booth to answer a Twitter DM, Enzo is repeatedly distracted by Nia Jax. As the Cruiserweight Champion left the arena, Gulak was visibly taken aback by the abandonment, leading to Alexander capitalizing for the win. Adding to Enzo’s potential distractions, the status of a unified Zo Train is certainly in question following The Certified G, Ariya Daivari and Drew Gulak teaching fellow member Tony Nese a brutal lesson in the form of a beatdown last week on WWE 205 Live. With Alexander poised to become WWE Cruiserweight Champion, will Enzo’s focus on Nia and The Zo Train derail his Cruiserweight Championship reign, or is he confident enough in his abilities to dash Alexander’s hopes? Hideo Itami puts the Cruiserweight division on notice. Tonight, Hideo Itami makes his highly-anticipated Cruiserweight division debut. However, the Japanese Superstar didn’t wait for WWE 205 Live to show the WWE Universe what he is capable of, making his Raw debut last night. Itami charged the ring, quickly disposing of Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel before the match was restarted as a tag team bout.  205 Live Preview: January 2, 2018 On the first WWE 205 Live of 2018, Gentleman Jack Gallagher battles Hideo Itami in a rematch from the last WWE 205 Live of 2017. Plus, can Cedric Alexander maintain his momentum until WWE Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore recovers from the flu? Cedric Alexander keeps rolling with a surprise tag team partner. Cedric Alexander’s new year was supposed to begin with an opportunity to challenge Enzo Amore for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. In recent weeks, Alexander has built incredible momentum against The Certified G, while also helping to dismantle Enzo’s loyal cadre, The Zo Train. Unfortunately, Alexander’s opportunity was postponed due to Muscles Marinara being hospitalized with the flu before Raw. Despite not being able to challenge for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship, Alexander proved he was ready for action on Raw when he confronted two of Enzo’s top Zo Train loyalists, Drew Gulak and Ariya Daivari. Challenging the Charlotte, N.C.-native to a tag team match and doubting anyone would answer the call, Gulak and Daivari were stunned when Goldust made his way to the ring and joined the Cruiserweight division for the evening. An impressive performance from Alexander earned he and The Bizarre One a victory and certainly put Enzo on notice that once he recovers, the major challenge to his WWE Cruiserweight Championship remains. Can Alexander continue his winning ways until his challenge is rescheduled, or will The Zo Train find a way to set the stage for The Certified G’s triumphant return? Gentleman Jack Gallagher has a second chance to show Hideo Itami his brand of cruelty. Last week on WWE 205 Live, Gentleman Jack Gallagher stepped inside the squared circle to face Hideo Itami. The previous night on Raw, a devastating Go To Sleep from Itami left Gallagher’s compatriot, The Brian Kendrick, with a fractured nose and orbital bone. Despite his best effort in a hard-fought contest, Gallagher’s cruelty was countered by the Japanese Superstar’s demand for respect, and the British competitor succumbed to the Rings of Saturn. Although Gallagher closed out the final WWE 205 Live of 2017 with a defeat, tonight he has the opportunity to set the tone for 2018 – not only for himself, but for Itami as well – when he battles the hard-hitting Japanese Superstar in a rematch.
