 205 Live Preview: December 6, 2016 After winning his first Cruiserweight Championship last Tuesday on the first episode of WWE 205 Live, Rich Swann will look to close the door on The Brian Kendrick by successfully defending the title in a rematch. The Brian Kendrick gets his rematch. In his first match since beating The Brian Kendrick to win the WWE Cruiserweight Championship one week ago, ”The Outlandish” Rich Swann defeated former Cruiserweight Champion TJ Perkins on Raw. Now Swann looks to the second episode of WWE 205 Live, when he’ll take on Kendrick again in a Cruiserweight Championship Rematch. Tonight’s high-stakes contest on WWE Network has huge ramifications for both competitors. For Swann, a successful title defense would solidify his place as champion atop the Cruiserweight division. Conversely, for a seasoned ring veteran like The Brian Kendrick, reclaiming the WWE Cruiserweight Title would prove what he believes to be a foregone conclusion – that he is the best Cruiserweight in the world. Who will make their WWE 205 Live debut? On the inaugural episode of WWE 205 Live, The Bollywood Boyz and Jack Gallagher made their respective in-ring debuts. However, before all the jaw-dropping Cruiserweight action got underway last Tuesday, the WWE Universe was introduced to all of the Superstars that will make up WWE’s Cruiserweight division. Although they‘ve yet to compete, Superstars such as Lince Dorado, Cedric Alexander, Mustafa Ali and more are ready to step inside the purple squared circle. Who will be the next new Cruiserweight to make an impact on WWE 205 Live tonight? Will Ariya Daivari’s tactics pay dividends? “The Extraordinary Gentleman” Jack Gallagher made his Cruiserweight division debut against Ariya Daivari on WWE 205 Live’s first episode. Using his wildly unorthodox style to his advantage, the British Superstar earned himself a hard-fought victory. The two Cruiserweights squared off again on Raw Monday night and, once more, the unconventional methods of “The Extraordinary Gentleman” bested Daivari. Following the match, however, Daivari unleashed a brutal attack on Gallagher, targeting his opponent’s knee. Could this be the advantage Daivari needs to best Gallagher when they meet again? I had a chuckle when he was announced as 'The Outlandish Rich Swann' yesterday on Raw. But then again this is the same company that couldn't come up with a better name than "The Club" so I guess we should lower our expectations.

 205 Live Preview: December 27, 2016 On Raw, Cruiserweight Champion Rich Swann accepted Neville’s challenge for a match, and now, The Man That Gravity Forgot has an opportunity to make a huge leap toward officially crowning himself The King of the Cruiserweights. Also, the latest chapter in Jack Gallagher and Ariya Daivari’s heated rivalry takes shape in a Gentlemen’s Duel. Gallagher and Daivari face off in a Gentlemen’s Duel. Since making their respective debuts on WWE 205 Live, Ariya Daivari and “The Extraordinary Gentleman” Jack Gallagher have been embroiled in one the most intense rivalries of the year. Gallagher’s unorthodox in-ring style has been a constant source of frustration for Daivari. Following a loss to Rich Swann on Raw, Daivari blamed Gallagher, saying he was more concerned with the potential of the Englishman interfering in the match. In response, “The Extraordinary Gentleman” approached Daivari, who called Gallagher a “scoundrel” to his face. Deeply insulted by Daivari’s slanderous words, Gallagher challenged his rival to a duel before slapping him across the face with a glove. Daivari and Gallagher are set to close out 2016 in unique fashion with the first-ever Gentlemen’s Duel on WWE 205 Live. Will it also herald the end of their rivalry or just further deepen their mutual animosity? The King challenges the champion. After making his return at Roadblock: End of the Line, Neville has put the entire Cruiserweight division on notice with a newfound intensity and ruthlessness, which has been primarily targeted at Cruiserweight Champion Rich Swann. Neville’s objective is simple: he wants to prove himself as the most dominant competitor in the Cruiserweight division. Although Neville has declared himself The King of the Cruiserweights, the Cruiserweight Championship currently belongs to Rich Swann, who is certainly battle-tested and a formidable champion. Thus far, their only in-ring meeting has been in tag team competition, but on the final WWE 205 Live of 2016, Neville has the opportunity to show the Cruiserweight Champion, and the rest of the division, why he believes he is indeed The King of the Cruiserweights. |
