Following Tajiri's successful debut on WWE 205 Live, The Brian Kendrick was eager to congratulate and greet his fellow veteran and Cruiserweight pioneer. The Japanese Buzzsaw returned the greeting by spitting his patented green mist in Kendrick's face, leaving the former Cruiserweight Champion both irate and without an ally. Tajiri has since been sidelined with an injury, and if Kendrick's match with Sean Maluta two weeks ago was any indication, Kendrick intends to get payback on Tajiri by taking out his aggression out on new and upcoming Cruiserweights looking to make a name for themselves. Although Maluta put forth an excellent effort, Kendrick emerged victorious, adding credence to his new effort. What is Kendrick's endgame, and who will be the next wide-eyed Cruiserweight on the veteran Superstar's list? Can Cedric Alexander keep his focus inside the ring? Hoping to center his focus on reaching the pinnacle of the Cruiserweight division, Cedric Alexander faces the most daunting challenge of his career —Neville. However, for Alexander, no matter how hard he tries to put the drama among himself, Alicia Fox and Noam Dar behind him, it has a way of coming back to haunt him. On Raw, in the midst of explaining his determination to win the Cruiserweight Championship, Alexander was confronted by Dar and Fox. The situation soon degraded as Fox berated her ex-boyfriend, claiming he couldn't win without her. The exchange ended with Alexander pushes Dar to the ground, but it was clear that the psychological damage had been done. His highly-anticipated arrival comes following an impressive showing in last year's Cruiserweight Classic, where Tozawa defeated Kenneth Johnson and Jack Gallagher before his Quarterfinals elimination at the hands of Gran Metalik. Tozawa brings more than a decade of experience to the squared circle and is one of the most revered competitors in Japan. As with many Cruiserweights, he uses his agility and speed to his advantage, but he is also not one to back down from an old-fashioned slugfest. Going toe-to-toe with Tozawa means opponents must be prepared for a throwdown, as the Japanese Superstar has been known for his striking ability. Is The Brian Kendrick a friend or foe to Akira Tozawa? Last week on WWE 205 Live, Akira Tozawa made his Cruiserweight debut as The Brian Kendrick watched from ringside. After defeating Drew Gulak on Raw Monday night, Tozzawa was confronted by Kendrick after the match. Despite some tension, the former Cruiserweight Champion extended a hand of friendship and congratulated Tozawa on his victory. What is Kendrick’s motive in his approach to the Japanese Superstar? The Man with a Plan has made it known that he has an animosity toward young Superstars he considers unworthy, but he no doubt seems impressed by Tozawa. Former Cruiserweight Champion and elder statesman of the Cruiserweight division, The Brian Kendrick, has not been secretive about his fascination with Akira Tozawa. After weeks of successfully battling prospective Cruiserweight competitors, The Man with a Plan has been scouting the Japanese competitor’s matchups and has generally avoided any tense confrontations with Tozawa. The experienced Kendrick is a ruthless competitor to be sure, and ever since his longtime friend, fellow veteran Tajiri, returned and denied the offer of an alliance, he has been essentially beating respect into younger Superstars.
