It had to happen at some point and I figure everyone would be expecting it later so they did it now to "surprise" everybody. But there wasn't anything said or done that caused it (unless you count the small things from the past). It just kinda happened. Not necessarily - remember an hour or so beforehand Triple H spoke to Kevin Owens, without Jericho. Hunter's probably involved in this, somehow...

I wouldn't exactly say that. When Rollins turned on the Shield it was because the Authority made him a secret offer to join them. That's when he started saying the 'I didn't sell out, I bought in' stuff. So while it wasn't totally fleshed out or had any seeds planted that Rollins would be the one turning I still think it worked out at that time. As for Triple H he actually explained why in that promo he did a few weeks ago where Joe debuted. Spoiler: click to toggle Basically Seth let him down after everything was handed to him. But in true Triple H style he turns it around to make it sound like he's the victim and the babyface the fans should rally behind to get his revenge.

I haven't been more disinterested in Raw since the days Bryan was getting beaten down by the Authority every week, and that was because of the forcing of Triple H and Stephanie as authority figures down our throats. Now it's just the plain booking. I'm going to skip Fastlane. I don't need to see Charlotte get her win and title back in another ppv match, I don't need to see Goldberg squash Owens in 3 minutes, and I don't need to see Roman Reigns... period. I may do the same with Wrestlemania. The card sounds awful and I'm not gonna let WWE sucker me into believing this is Undertaker's last match like they've done the last 6 Wrestlemanias

If I go back and see that it was Jericho that was the reason Owens has to defend his title against Goldberg at the next ppv, it makes sense why KO would be pissed with him. Even after Y2J told him he was going to help him keep the title, Owens is just plain tired of Jericho's ineptness when it comes to his title. That segment was a lot of fun to watch, even if it wasn't live. Sucks that the Jericho and Owens duo is done, now Jericho won't be as entertaining being a babyface again.
