It's all very strange, since when does WWE give a reason for releasing someone? Short of a drug testing failure, I never knew of one. there are some really weird facets to this story and we are definitely not hearing everything. |

The more I think about this, the more I'm starting to get really weird vibes from it. WWE.com is promoting it as a top article, compared to hiding it after they first announce it. They also didn't call Del Rio by his real name, nor did they wish him the best in his future endeavors. If this is all a storyline for them, I have to wonder where it is going though, because what else is there for Del Rio to do? I mean, I guess it could be the 'E getting people to hate Del Rio even more by just promoting the heck out of it, and because of this, they actually don't wish him the best in the future... But who knows. It is all just very weird. |

I agree, plus there has always been reports of altercations between employees (Booker and Batista, etc) where neither person was released and unless it was some huge situation that went down, or someone much higher than him on the card, it's all very hard to gauge. Could purely be speculating though as they haven't used real names for the last few releases (like the Evan Bourne batch of guys) Still listing the reason is very bizarre indeed Edited by Squall-Leonhart, Aug 7 2014, 09:00:09 PM.

Well, the current rumor going around is it was someone backstage (not a wrestler), if that is the case, I can see why he'd be in trouble over this one compared to if it was a superstar. But again, the whole thing is just really weird. |

I fucking loved Del Rio. Didn't want him in the main event but loved him as upper midcard. His match with Ziggler where they do the double turn still amazes me. |

I think Del Rio might have had more to offer if he had a stable or something. Rodriguez was ok for the announcing and getting beat do Primo and Epico as bodyguards. |

I saw one of those matches in person (coincidentally, it was what would be Sin Cara Gen-1's last televised match). It was downright serious and Del Rio wouldn't mind kicking Mistico's head in. Oddly enough, there's legit heat between the two because one of Cara's posse actually drew a gun at ADR. |

More has come out about Del Rio. He apparently slapped an online staff member... RKO gets to stay after taking a dump in a purse and ADR gets canned for slapping someone... Doesn't add up to me, but ADR is assault, so there's that argument Wasn't ADR's contract coming up soon? Wasn't he planning on not re-signing? Who takes over as upper mid-card heel jobber? |
