I can get that the writers or Vince want people to mention certain things, or say them in a specific way during their promos. That is all part of the writing and adding to the feud, moving things along. However, if a wrestler cant cut a promo without having every word written down for them then they're in the wrong business. That's the way its always been, you're mad at this guy now grab this mic and tell everyone that fact. If you speak from the heart the emotions come naturally, not taught through acting lessons.

Maybe standup comedy lessons from Mick Foley couldn't hurt.

The problem is, Roman Reigns doesn't have any emotions. He and Eva Marie should form a tag team called The Cyborgs.

Whoa let's not get hasty here. There is nobody who is as bad as Eva Marie. A washing machine has more human emotion than Eva Marie.

Really? Tell me when's the last time Roman Reigns committed an act or did a promo that showed any emotion? The only one I can remember is when he was part of Shield and all three gave a promo and Reigns told Punk, "Come anywhere near me, I'm a beat cha little ass." That's it, that's the only time he showed any remote amount of emotion because he was a heel then and seemed like a person who liked hurting people. Heel Reigns>Babyface Reigns. If WWE is really looking for that face of the company type talent, Ryback is The Big Guy for the role because his face character is so damn good and recently he cut that surprise promo that laid out why he is who he is.

Back to Reigns... remember when he told Big Show, "You come down to this ring, I'm a punch ya in the mouth." how it sounded like a cheesy one liner from Master Chief? There's no emotion in what Roman Reigns does and it's that's not just how he does promos, that's basically his character. I've not been given one damn reason to want to get behind Roman Reigns besides him being the heavy in the Shield. Had Reigns bothered to interject and help Ambrose during the feud with Rollins, I might be inclined to think, "Well Reigns was affected by Rollins betrayal too and I'm sure he wants to punish him for what he did and help out his brother Dean Ambrose." Reigns did nothing of the sort and went on to do nothing after the Shield broke up. Seriously, the only thing I can remember Reigns doing post break up was spiking drinks to induce vomiting and holding hands with John Cena.

That picture of Reigns looking at Cena... it looks like the build up to a rape scene from American History X

Yeah... But isn't that almost like saying Heidenreich wasn't as bad as Eugene.

Both were still Godawful.

To be honest though, I don't particularly mind Roman Reigns.

For me, he's just another Batista, but with worse writing.

Erm...

''WWE is currently in the early stages of testing out virtual reality technology.

The annual Consumer Electronic Shows (CES) convention is currently underway in Las Vegas and WWE Chief Strategy & Financial Offer George Barrios broke the news during a “Masters of Trailblazing Content” seminar.

According to virtual reality blog VRFocus.com, Barrios told the audience that WWE is currently testing VR content at the WWE Performance Center in Florida, but the technology is still a long way from being ready for a consumer rollout. Barrios said:

“It’s very, very early [in the testing phase]… it’s very expensive; the amount of cameras and post-production needed.”

Other companies currently developing VR content include the NBA, Artists Den, Skybound Entertainment.''

Oh, and also:

''WWE has announced the official return of former WWE World Heavyweight Champion and the leader of the “Yes! Movement,” Daniel Bryan.

Bryan’s first match back since undergoing neck surgery and dealing with his long road to recovery will be next Tuesday night, January 13th.

WWE is pushing Bryan’s return as the main attraction in the advertising for the show on Tuesday night in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where WWE will tape the first edition of WWE SmackDown to air in its’ new time slot on Thursday night on the SyFy Network.''

I don't mind Reigns in general, either. What I do mind is if they force him on us, much as they've forces other guys (most notably Cena), and it doesn't come off natural. Hell, already they're screwing with his character (again, like Cena), and I can't help but see the fans eventually being put off by that and turning against him (as what was eventually happened to, again, John Cena).

I was just thinking, though, about how badly they've been dropping the ball with Ambrose, and it got me wondering, where would they be right now if, for example, they interfered this badly with classic characters in the past? For instance, if instead of Austin riding to the ring on a zamboni or spraying down the corporation with a beer truck, what if he had pulled the kinda Nicelodean Gak shenanigans they've had Ambrose pull, or merely sprayed ketchup and mustard on McMahon for his troubles? If they turned Austin into the Carrot Top prop master of his era as opposed to unleashing him to raise proper hell, where would the business be today?

Those 2 both had their moments. For instance, Taker actually carried Heidenreich to a handful of surprisingly good matches at one point in time. And though I hated the Eugene character, Nick Dinsmore is still an incredible wrestler, and still managed to give us some good matched even despite that character's limitations. ;)

I did enjoy some of the chemistry between Eugene and William Regal (as well as the concept in general), and RAW's first ever Musical Chairs game is still one of my favourite moments from 2004.

And I will never forget Heidenreich's suggestive moment with Michael Cole backstage during his reading of poetry.

So yeah, both superstars definitely had their moments. But they were still terrible (in a good way).

Damn Foley took insane bumps. Also Big Show showed way too much skin back in the day. Imagine the horror if they made Khali wear trunks.

A guy got his friend who doesnt watch wrestling to name today's superstars, with excellent results.
