FUN FACT: ''In 2010, USA wanted WWE to introduce a positive gay character. The Bryan/Bellas triangle was supposed to lead to DB coming out.'' — Brian Maxwell Mann (@BrianMaxMann) January 10, 2015 In a post on Twitter, former WWE creative team member Brian Maxwell Mann said that Daniel Bryan’s character was set to come out as gay during his “love triangle” with the Bella Twins. WWE and the USA Network wanted to show a positive gay character. The storyline would end with Bryan revealing he was gay. Instead, he ended up turning down the Bellas for months just to reveal he was dating Gail Kim. Source: http://411mania.com/wrestling/former-writer-reveals-wwe-almost-made-daniel-bryan-gay-in-2010/ |

Wow. I can understand they want to be diverse, and create a character that gays could rally around, but why Bryan of all people? |

Hmm, good thing it never fell through. If people in the media were complaining about violence against women in the attitude era, they'd likely complain about violence against homosexuals today. I'd rather not see sexual orientation be a part of a wrestlers gimmick, it's to vulnerable to be abused by new writers or Vince when he forgets to take meds. I can see how Vince on a bad day would write a Raw in 2013: Gay Daniel Bryan and Straight John Cena team up for a tag team match against Kane and Randy Orton, but when Bryan "accidently" walks in on John Cena in the shower, Cena thinks Bryan is coming on to him and backs out of the tag match making it a handicapped match. It opens the angle up to abuse and when I watch Raw, I watch it for wrestling, not this. |

''After making a surprise appearance at Saturday night’s WWE live event in Montgomery, Alabama, Chris Jericho revealed on Twitter that he’s signed a new deal with WWE that will have him working 16 shows for the company through March.'' Jericho tweeted on Sunday afternoon: ![]() ''Chris Jericho -- ''Signing my new #WWE contract! •Click link for preview• http://tweetsecret.com/v/n2w17yaic4'' It’s worth noting that all of the dates are weekend shows and none of the dates are Monday or Tuesday TV tapings. During a recent interview with Slam.Canoe.Ca, Jericho talked about his decision to only work non-televised shows: “[To do only live events] was my choice. I had some time off [between Fozzy tours], and I thought it would be fun to go back [on that schedule]. It’s like I’m the anti-Brock Lesnar.” In his return to the ring last night, Jericho defeated Luke Harper in a singles match via pinfall after hitting the Codebreaker.'' I take it Jericho's not wrestling at Mania. Unfortunate, but there's nobody left for him to put over that WWE would realistically run with. |

Rumors are that the script for last week's episode of Raw was tossed out and Vince McMahon personally wrote the episode. This could explain the reason that Michael Cole miscalled Barrett's finisher and definitely explains the opening and ending segments being all Authority and Roman Reigns Superman and Looney Tunes inspired promo. Speculation persists that the next step for Roman Reigns is a feud with Triple H which is to begin when Stephanie interrupts Roman Reigns' next promo and Reigns' lines will be: "My my, Stephanie McMahon. The woman with the voice of Eartha Kitt, the body of Dolly Parton, and the personality of Faye Dunaway. I tell you what Stephanie, if I was your husband, I'd YABBA DABBA DO you and make the Bedrock as often as possible." Thus will complete Roman Reigns plug for the new WWE film The Flintstones & WWE: Stone Age SmackDown! and his journey through time upon which he will return to the year 1968 along with Rod Taylor. Who closed the ''Top 10 Lists'' thread? Not that it matters all that much, I just thought it would be better to have a topic dedicated to lists so that it makes them easier to find. I'll post the following video here instead: |

![]() WWE Network -- ''Stanford: It's expected that @HulkHogan will induct #MachoMan into the @WWE #HallOfFame at @WrestleMania 31.'' As noted earlier today, WWE has started teasing the announcement of “Macho Man” Randy Savage as the first official inductee into the 2015 class of the WWE Hall Of Fame, an announcement that is expected to be made on tonight’s RAW. The WWE Network already had a news item today noting that it is expected that Hulk Hogan will be the person who inducts Savage into the WWE Hall Of Fame. Below is a release WWE issued regarding tickets for the 2015 WWE Hall Of Fame induction ceremony: ''On March 28, the eve of WrestleMania 31, a new class of sports-entertainment pioneers will be enshrined into the WWE Hall of Fame, and you can get tickets for the historic induction ceremony starting this Saturday! Tickets for this year’s gathering — which takes place at the SAP Center in San Jose, Calif. — go on sale Saturday at 1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. PT and will be available at Ticketmaster.com and the SAP Center box office. You can also charge by phone by calling (800) 745-3000. With appearances by WWE’s biggest Superstars and Divas, as well as candid speeches by the inductees themselves, the WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony has become one of the most anticipated nights of the year for the WWE Universe.'' To Fromage: You wanted some examples of times where Shawn Michaels grabbed his opponents crotch. I'm pretty certain there are way more of these moments, but these were the ones that initially came to mind first. 28:50 -- Shawn's hand remains on Cena's crotch for almost two full minutes. 30:42 -- It's very brief. 32:17 -- I'm pretty sure Michaels was aiming to grab something else. ![]() PS: Ignore the slowed down commentary.
