So, yeah, still not quite "nuff said" just yet I'd say, as I'm still confused by that little outburst. :\

I just read what happened and posted that to sum up my feelings on it in a particularly nasty way. Nothing else to it. The guy was being a fuckin' dildo. I just won't bother making another post like that if it's going to bother/confuse people.

You could elaborate on what he did that made him a dildo.

Also Tunit is pretty spot on with the WWE contracts. The wrestlers are independent contractors to avoid unions and all that, so terminating an active contract eliminates all conditions in place. Should WWE sue someone they fire because the next day they show up on UFC programming, I dont see how that is a case that will be taken seriously.

I think Josh Mathews directed one of his comments towards JR stating that people who are over 60 should disappear... or something. :?
Oh yes, it's true it's true!

It's like Fromage said, it's only confusing because you're being so completely vague about it. Just say what he actually did.

Oh, I assumed most of you guys would've known the context of that because dirtsheets or whatever.

Last night Fox Sports 1 aired a Fight Night special between the NFC and AFC Championship games. Towards the end of the night JR tweeted that UFC "won" (quotations are his, not mine) the battle against the NFL playoffs that night and how he thought it was an excellent idea and what not.

Mathews, seemingly taking his comment a little too literally, made a tweet saying "Why anyone would say @ufc "won" the night over @nfl is beyond me. Please, stop. It's not a fair fight. If you are over 60, just go away."

JR eventually got wind of the tweet and and and remarked on how it was "a little stiff" and told him that he didn't expect something like that from him, stating "I'm over 60 and I'm not going away." Mathews replied saying how "It was stiff" and "Sometimes you gotta call it like you see it." JR later clarified saying that anyone that interpreted he was attempting to convey that "NFL was lesser to UFC" was ignorant.

Basically, just really petty social media bullshit. Josh just seems like he's using a chip on his shoulder to get some attention. I don't even dislike the guy, but his attitude is the type of shit that feels like an insult to your intelligence even more so than other people that would pull that garbage.

Jesus, I completely forgot those two even had a match against one another, let alone at Wrestlemania. o.O
Hogan and Vince also had a match together at WrestleMania.

I watched it live and all I remember is Vince jumping off a ladder.

It must be a scare tactic bluff WWE is using to try to exert even the smallest amount of control over their wrestlers and it may very well work. Guys like Orton were going to Punk asking him how the ppv payouts were going to work with the Network because they were probably afraid to ask management. After all, don't want to piss people off by asking a question. So if certified main eventers like Orton are intimidated just by asking probably the most fundamental question any employee should concern himself with in wages, I'd imagine guys like Cesaro and Mizdow aren't even going to make a squeak about what they're supposed to do if things go south for them in WWE and they have to make a living elsewhere.

I can see that conversation now:

Mizdow: Hey Vince, I was wondering about the 1 year no compete clause in the contracts. What am I supposed to do if we run into financial issues and you have to let me go to cut costs?

Vince: *laughs* I don't have the answer to that.

Mizdow: Shouldn't you know the answer though?

Vince: You ask a lot of questions. Questions piss me off.

WWE legal consultants are either a bunch of monkeys or WWE is really that concerned about talent going elsewhere over the next several years that they'd be willing to even entertain such an idea. What WWE doesn't realize is the more they try to micromanage the product to the point it interferes with wrestlers lives, the less guys will want to work there. Don't be surprised if we get Raw Reunion every Monday Night because the legends will be the only ones who will be willing to work for Vince.

So Roman Reigns climbed a beanstalk as a little boy. What did he find at the top?

If its HBK each time I would be okay with it.

But I agree with what you're saying, its almost like abuse in a way and controlling people after you've fired them. Plus not to mention that story that Ziggler lost the IC title because of some comedy gig. Vince really is losing his marbles.

I think most of the current talent can profit from Paul Heyman in some way.

Which is the reason why WWE keeps him far away from them. We can't be having him make people look strong now.

If the current roster had any balls at all, they'd be causing a mutiny right about now.

It's clear Vince has gone senile, so why not?

Heyman could pull off hyping a ppv match between 2 guys he's managing at the same time. Plus walk both of them to the ring during their entrances.

What if it's not Vince making these calls and he seriously doesn't have any clue about it? According to Punk, there are so many players behind the scenes now that you can't take two steps without somebody telling you the scripts changed. Could very well be the same for the overall business structure too.

Heyman taking a dump is enough to sell an entire roster of superstars.

All hail, Paul Heyman!

Because saying 'this former talent cannot join any wrestling or MMA promotion for an entire year' sounds like a Vince thing. Plus a change that big has to go through the CEO.

Perhaps Vince made it like this as some kind of endurance test for all the superstars.

For instance, if you can manage to get your hands on Vince in this vast sea of employees, then you've made the first step towards success. The next step would be to glue your lips to his buttocks... or marry a family member, of course.
Oh yes, it's true it's true!
